Replaced worn out cassette , chain & chainring on my Whyte e160rs .( no pics) ...but yesterday was a very sad day as I had to say goodbye to one of my oldest riding companions after years of being together and visiting some fantastic locations ..it was time to say goodbye .. as she's split ..
I knew at the end of our recent Kirk Yetholm ride that the end was nigh ..but only just got around to looking for something better..

Have used an Osprey Katari 7 for the past 4 years, has held up great.

I’ve had the raptor 14 for a few years now, love it. I switched over to a fanny pack though, the raptor only comes out for back country rides now.

I'm one of those riders who carries the kitchen sink on every ride ...you know ..just in case
It's a bit smaller than the HAWG it's replacing so I'll probably have to leave the field surgeon table behind ..

I really want to put cushcore in my rear tire but I loathe installing it the 2 worst jobs in this sport IMO, cushcore and ridewrap/invisiframe installation.

The back pack turned up yesterday ..mightily impressed with the only minor gripe being the bladder seems a bit fiddly to fill..

So time for the second bargain of the week ..not 100% struck on the colour ..and no way in the creation of crows shite would I have paid full price ..but for roughly £97.00 off rrp..had to be bought

When my new levo comes this week my first two projects are ridewrap and cushcore. Your comment made me out loud say “oh no they are right..” this is going to suck.

Worst however for me was studding fat tires by hand. My hands were a bloody messy by the end. Though cushcore wasn’t much better

My dropper post died beyond repair on my Rise at the weekend so went for a Brand X Ascend XL. Another £150 spent that I hadn’t expected

@Tubby G The Brand X dropper is great value. I bought one for my grandson and it withstood all his hooning about, mostly on his rear wheel! I would not hesitate to buy one for myself when the time comes.

I bought a Whyte branded seatpost ..spookily enough for my Whyte when the original post died ..manufactured I'm told by brand x ..zero problems so far and great value

I have also have just fitted a Brand X dropper post as my crank brothers one failed. I could not wait for it to be refurbed so bought the Brand x and left the old one at the LBS to refurb. I will then have a spare.

My ridewrap kit for the levo is still sitting in the box. I haven’t even attempted to install it yet, I don’t drink anymore so maybe that’s why I’ve been putting it off.

New di2 xt deraileur. The old one is 3 years old and I had just put new pulleys on it last week, but that black coil disapeared while riding a superfast dirt road last sunday. Will try to fix it someday.

I’m in the UK, you see more fanny packs than backpacks in my area. I know a lot of guys that have switched over…..after making fun of mine

I swore to never own a hip pack, laughing it off as another passing industry fad. But…….. after a trip to GoOutdoors with my lad and a look and try of the Camelback LR4, I’m deffo ordering one for when I’m able to ride again. It just feels right, don’t care about looks, it’s behind me

Haha totally agree. I even delayed ordering invisiframe because then I have to install it lol. Although I still think cushcore is worse than invisiframe/ridewrap so it takes the overall winner (loser?)

I live in whats seen as one of the most deprived aeas of my city so I'm terrified to wear one....
I literally wear a bergahus backpack even just to carry an innertube

Local bike shops are in the same boat as can't get stock, had to order this from Hong Kong and hopefully delivery is not the month to month and half they are quoting.
Meantime can pinch one lever or the whole master cylinder off the wifes bike as she is still not riding after demolishing her Tibial Plateau last year in Tassie.

New chainstay pad from Race Face. Great design, durable, strechable fabric with velcro strap, and priced right. Note, the larger "Oversize" size fits best on emtb chain stays in my opinion.
