Amazon seems to be the best price for this £21.99 on prime 😁 gotta love prime, ordered Tuesday evening and my grease gun arrived yesterday early evening 👍 it felt like it was already packed with grease before I opened the package but when I opened it I was pleasantly impressed by the build quality, good thick heavy aluminium, looks bulletproof, Park Tool is great quality but always seems a lot more expensive than everyone else 😒

Not just for the ebike but something to get over the troubles I’ve had clamping the suspension/dropper components when I service them. These turned up this week from China for just under £40 all in for the set. Finally some cheap stuff from there that I’m actually impressed with.

Just ordered a steel driver for my Hope Pro 4 hubs.

Swapping the OEM 11 speed Shimano to my Eagle 12 speed I noticed the aluminum driver is really chewed up. Steel should hold up much better for eMtb use.

You will have to let us know how it is cos, 400 quid just does not seem worth it
$490 in the US! almost 5 Benjamins! dang... It better massage the boys for that kind of coin.

On my road bike, I found that a really nice set of bibs and a properly selected Prologo saddle was good for 7 hours/100 miles... On my MTB, since I sit more upright, the MTB version, or even the WTB that came on my bike is great for 3-4 hours. With proper liners of course.

I use assos mille GT bibs and which are great but I still had a couple of occasions last year when I actually broke my junk after 6hr plus rides. Bit scary at the time, but when the old boy decided it was party time it was extremely painful and he soon changed his mind, thankfully only lasted a few days. Maybe goes some way to explain why I’d spend that amount on a saddle. Anyhoo, sent the butt kit pics back and they have been approved, so into production we go. So far service, info, contact etc has been very good

I nearly bought the pro 4 hubs but when the pro 5’s were released on the 1st of March which have all 6 pawls engagement simultaneously on the ebike specific hub it was a no brainer, you do right to buy the steel free hub, aluminium is too soft for ebike and the stress they go through 😉

But I find I get what you pay for with the Park Tools brand. I find for the most part, they produce "hand tools that you can pass down to your next generation" . . . in a sea of cheap crap tools off Amazon, Alibaba, Harbor freight. Nothing pisses me off more than having say a new Torx bit crack the first time I go to use it from a set I just bought off Amazon.

Have a Gioma rear bike stand to lift the back of the bike and transmission for cleaning after muddy rides. Is easy because can turn the pedals and spin the rear wheel. But cleaning the front wheel means turning it manually while holding the brush and garden hose.

Have a front motorcycle paddock stand but no good for a MTB. Saw the inner diameter of the front Maxle is just over 9mm and realised that I could bodge a front stand using a straight bolt to get a horizontal mount.

Ordered a "LifeLine Essential Mini-Maintenance Stand" from Wiggle (£9.99) with some other stuff. Luckily the 2 threaded cups which it comes with are just below 9mm. So bent one as below and it fits nicely, even has the protective sheath on!

Bought some Weldtite All-Weather Lube and tried it on my chain today. Only a short ride in muddy(ish) conditions but couldn't believe how much dirt got picked up on the transmission.

Not recommended.

Back to Muc-off All Weather (Motorcycle) chain lube.
