It´s maybe a different tune on the check valve plate. The linear rebound tune has a lighter check valve tune than the digressive and/or progressive rebound tune. But i don't know for sure...

have you tried to ride without the battery? I guess I could disassemble battery and plastic cover (it's just 2-3 screws)
but then...how to attach that big bolt and plastic cover (that normally holds battery) .... :/ the thread is in a battery.
(I have few days with uplift)

I've done uplift on mine loads of times just leave battery in and slap it in turbo. Do the same with my KSL

the point is.... to do laps without the battery (I know how to switch the motor off or set it to turbo...)

Just picked up a 2023 expert, can’t wait to get out on it. Setting base suspension settings on the x2 I noticed that the when I turn the HSC clockwise with the 6mm the adjuster comes out further as if its a left hand thread. Anyone with a 2023 X2 confirm this. The fox setup guide was way of the mark as I think it was for a 22 model.

Somewhere I saw this cover also for GEN3

I almost couldn't believe my eyes, but the US site is updated and there are 3-1K price drops and the Expert increased by $500 due to AXS and the X2 Performance Elite. The Elite price increase makes ZERO sense with the Pro now only costing $500 more and much better spec, though no AXS. Unless you can call these sales, but newly released bikes on sale, while the old model in a lot of sizes still being available usually doesn't happen.

EU prices dropped a few weeks ago. S-Works used to be 15k EUR, and now it is 13500 EUR, with the 2022 model on sale for 12000 EUR. The 2023 expert is 9600 EUR while the 2022 one was 10700 EUR, but now on sale for 8500 EUR.

New models coming guys thats all. New s-works is already on the website and so is the new expert. Wonder what the new pro will look like.

Hi there,

My 2022 S-Works has cracks in the reararm an front shockmount. I weight 78Kg and prefer Trail/enduro biking.

- after the frame has destroyed some airshocks due to the sideload ist has now destroyed itsself on the shockmount :( a visible crack in the carbon structure.
- the reararm has a crack, only visible from downside after Motor replacement.

Both cracks were found in a routine-check when cleaning&greasing the bolts/bearing seats.

Speci made a good job with replacing it with a new S-Works frame. But i'm asking me if i should give the carbon frame a second try or use my alloy Levo.

Are there other experiences with cracks in this 2 positions ?

Ouch, this has always been my concern with Carbon frames, the small amount of weight saving compared to the alloy is what made me choose alloy over carbon, the extra weight is not noticeable on an ebike imo. I'm all for carbon and use it for my handle bars and wheels but I just worry about the frame delamination over time and cracks appearing like yours. It's great to see Specialized looked after you with a new frame though 👌

the small amount of weight saving compared to the alloy
1.5Kg o_O this is not so less... But yes, you're right i'm now on an alloy Levo and very happy, nearly no difference in handling when over 20km/h. but perhaps i can't resist to build up the new black S-Works 2023 carbon warrantyframe one again :) But i think i will sell that lightweight diva.

Best regards,

Chris

Agreed on analogue bike 1.5kg would be a good weight saving but on an ebike not so. 👍

Ouch.
Bought a frameset because of the sale here in Germany and finished the build this week.
I have a question when I see your picture.
How is it possible to disconnect the chainstay from the main frame? I just wanted to greese the bearings but I cant disconnect the chainsay from the main frame. Seems that it is not enough if bolt J/K is out. Would be great if someone could help me out ;-)

There's a bushing or sleeve in the bearing of the swingarm which also connects to the frame. The motor and the motorbracket has to get out before the bushing be punched out to the inner side when i remind me correctly.

Ok thank you. Maintenance horror. Next time I will try it with loosening the motorbracket. Motor out, for maintenance the bearings on the chainstay is …

I really want a levo but there's only one small bike store in my city that even sells Specialised bikes... and they don't even stock levo/Kenova
I'm too scared they go under and then I'd have no where for warranty issues on the motor and no where that could do software updates/battery updates if that needs an LBS.

Shame....

The sizing options on the levo seem way better for people around 190cm than the competitors too

Very nice build!

Why did you replace the stock cranks?
I went with the Hope because of durability. The weight difference was 60 gramm. I have a Nukeproof Megawatt too (26KG with coil) and for me, the weight is something i can deal with. I went the frameset, because I had some parts already. I will post a video when the ride is done. I am very excited.
