What did you buy your ebike this week?

Not strictly for my bike but for me when I’m out on my bike

A pair of Hellerman three pronged grommet spreaders for when I fit my new Kiox display, I’m a bit of a worrier and I’d rather “have it and not need it than need it and not have it” and for the sake of £20 it’s not worth worrying about, only downside is that they won’t arrive until between the 6 and 12th of January, oh well it’ll give me time to gather the other things I need 😉

For fitting or undocking….🫣

Sold my Giant Stance e+

Now only have a 2023 Norco Bigfoot VLT 1 that I love way more than I was expecting. I was planning on buying a Norco Sight VLT, but since I love how the Bigfoot is a full power 900wh monster truck, I might go with something like the Trek EXE.

A new pair of essential pair of pedals. After 5000kms and one service kit, stamp2 developed a painful later play.
retuned to these pedals, ridden three years ago under decathlon brand, but they all are vp-001 rebranded.
a service kit is available too
hope they will last longer than stamps

Nothing too exciting for me this week, just a wear and tear replacement/upgrade chain. I treated the eeb to an XTR chain in place of the KMC that it came with.

Tracked down a set of Hope Tech 4 V4s. Have been keen to try something different than the MT7s I've been running... finally going to scratch that itch. Should arrive Friday along with new discs and adapters.
Will be interested to hear your comparison.

bought a cheap shockwiz from wiggle

Will be interested to see if it can improve the performance of my suspension

I put on a 35mm Chromag bza stem with extra spacers under it. Also waiting on a 35mm rise oneup ebar to get a little more rise.

What bar clamp are you running? I just got the same bike 2 weeks ago. I swapped the risers around, but the bar still seems low. Plan on a 30-40mm riser bar. But if I can just swap the bar clamp, that may be an option.

Once you have played with it and discovered that it hasn't made much difference then you may consider renting it out to people on here that you know and trust! :)

Hope seat post clap for my Trek Rail, second one!
I guessed the first time based on the seat post dimeter and got it wrong, second one I measured it 38.5 mm is the size for a Trek rail 9.7 in case some one is wondering!

Well I still need to bleed them tomorrow and alight the calipers but holy smokes… what a difference in perceived engineering and quality (some testing is needed to verify). The CNC work is incredible. Thoughtful details everywhere. The SRAM matchmaker design is way more customizable and useful than Magura’s (which really had zero adjustability). If these things work 80% as good as they look I will be a VERY happy camper. My only complaint so far is that the twisted cotter pin they use on the break pad retainer bolt is a bit finicky to reinstall.

And this effetto mariposa flower power wax hope it does as great as zerofrictioncycling says it is

That suspension kit really should just be provided as a rental. It’s the sort of thing I can see using for a few rides and then never again.

Funny thing on perception and those brakes. To me they look look like the things I’ve made on a friends mill and I have very low machining skill. The MT7s look slick and beautiful to me.

Got a set of sexy 155mm cranks to replace the 160mm xts on the bullit.

Question, should I use the plastic shimano washer/pin dealie to locate and keep them on if they get loose or leave it off? Looks like it would work with these arms just like it does on the shimanos..

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I answered my own question, the shimano spacers don't seem to fit.

Photo dump.

First pic is 155 next to 165, next one is 155 next to 160 xt's.

Too bad your cranks didn't come in pink (maybe gold?) as the silver is messing with your bike's Feng Shui  How/where did you get a pink coil for your shock ? I have a Fox DHX2 SLS col in fugly orange and would prefer it to be either silver or black.

Hi, re the bit are you not concerned that it will have negative impact on torque values as it may be weaker / softer material than standard TX nut? 🤔

Nah atleast I don't think so, it's for my small torque wrench up to 24 nm
It's made of chroom-vanadium-steel.

The 1/4 inch bit sets costs 30-40 euro, this bit only cost 4 euros. And I have alot of professional bits laying around so I can easy throw one away if it's damaged.
