Giant started to release information regarding their 2023 eMTB line up.

I only managed to find two pictures as of yet, but please post everything you can find about their 2023 Trance X E+ line up in this thread.

We can see updated colors for their 2023 Trance X E+ line up for both aluminum and carbon models.

There's also an easter egg on the screen on the second picture below as we can see there will be an EL version, I guess ''EL'' could stand for eLight as it's separated from their full power eMTB line up as shown on the screen. New Yamaha engine or just a detuned PW-X3 ?!

Do you have some information for full power trance?

Like battery capacity for e+1, e+2, e+3 ?

I saw that video today : We can see the new Intrigue too

Also interesting to see no Giant branding anymore. The head tube was the only place you could see it is a Giant, but on the new one there is only the triangle.

There's actually a tiny Giant logo on the bottom of the downtube of the new Trance X EL, just like Trek and Specialized are doing... I guess being discrete is trendy nowadays.

Anyone got any update ? It's been dead silent since the first few photo leaks. It's strange because 2022 bikes were already released at this point last year.

Bike companies are probably rethinking their 2023 rollout because we seem to be at the end of the bike availability crisis. 😊 There are already sales on giant 2022 models, Spesh have discounted some models claiming they made too many... me thinks next year is going back to normal, bikes everywhere and some negotiating when making a purchase 😁

ties in with video on youtube a few weeks back which shows the Lightweight at a show GIANT EBIKES 2023, TRANCE X ELITE

Awesome hope to see them on the Canadian website soon. My local giant dealer said they haven't received their allocation yet but should hopefully this month. The bigger battery is certainly worth that price increase.

My biggest issue is there is a Norco Sight VLT also at my local shop, making it hard to wait. If my Stance E+ sells soon, I might have to try out that Norco.

The 2023 Trance X and Trance X Advanced are now on the US website.

For each bike they show an availability which is Feb for the 2023 Trance X and Jan for the 2023 Trance X Advanced.

Prices look to have gone up $100-$200 but they have bigger batteries as noted earlier in this thread.

2023 Trance X Advanced

Some EURO Giant websites also have these new bikes and the Trance X Advanced E+1 which is not on the USA website.

Bikes are scheduled for FEB 2023 in Canada, strange that there's no info on the website yet!

Strange if the bike is really specced with the full power SyncDrive Pro2 motor with 85Nm with a 400Wh battery.

You don't save weight on the motor as it's the full power unit and it's not being efficient on the battery if running the regular tune.

The only way to save this would be to heavily restrict the tune of the motor to make it like an EP8 RS, but you're still stuck with the weight penalty.

Love that Giant are keeping a straight downtube (the bent top tube looked cheap)- but those colours are back to good old Giant. Yuk 🤪

Just make all bikes BLACK. Fixed. 🤣

Any update when the EL Version is going to be officially announced and available in Europe?

Here are prices for EL version.

It looks like it will be 29 front and 27.5 back with 400Wh battery

Thanks for the info! Any chance you can post the specs for the EL-2 version. Thanks in advance.

I didn't find any info for EL-2.

Here is info for EL-0

The El 2 is the only option appealing to me because it does come without the Live Valve suspension.
However, pairing 400Wh with the full power 85nm does not make much sense to me.... or will Giant allow to to turn down the torque like Shimono with it's RS Version of EP8?
Can't believe it will stay below sub 20kg even with the highest spec....

Hopeful for more data this month. I have a 22 Trance X Adv e+2. If this is my bike with a smaller battery. I won't be impressed overall. But I am eagerly waiting for more news.

Probably carbon frame and MX wheels maybe slightly different geometry... The wait is always agonizing 😊

Mine is a carbon frame.
I am just saying if you are doing a lite-weight ebike. With offerings like Trek, Pivot, and Transition. A full-power motor/smaller battery seems odd. It would not be a huge change overall, IMO. I like my Trance, so I'm not downing the brand. Just hopeful for more than just a battery size option. Would it not have been a cheaper option to just produce a 500-watt battery for the current model?
