Upper Nidderdale a few weeks ago
 
Snuck away bang on time last night and went straight up to Rivington for a ride. Ended up doing a decent circuit encompassing Winter Hill, Great Hill and the fringes of Darwen Hill (had to watch the light as sun was setting...).

21.5 miles, 2800ft, 1400kCals...

Came under attack too! 2x Apache Gunships, then followed by 2x Chinooks... :)

Finally on the descent off Great Hill took a shot of the Sunset over Morecambe Bay/Irish Sea...

My very last ride on the HT around Moel Famau in North Wales………next time the Specialized carbon comp ? just about to smoke my mate on his analogue as he pushes up the hill in the second pic ?

You were within spitting distance from us then, although we only went to Peebles one evening for an Indian take out and a quick supermarket shop

Glentress killed our bikes ?

Day one, first climb, my crank fell off at the start of Super G. Had to roll back down the fire roads to the bike shop for a repair
Day two, first climb, other half’s tyre exploded at Buzzard’s nest. Sealant shower. Rolled back down to shop for new tyre fitted
Day two, second climb, new tyre flat as a pancake at Cool Runnings. O ring seal missing from mini pump in hip pack. Rolled back down to pod for track pump
Day three, first climb, motor died on other half’s Cube. Rolled back down to bike shop, hired a non-e full suss for the day instead
Day four, didn’t do Inners red as planned, took Cube back to shop in York for fix instead ?

The 80 miles of riding we did manage to do was awesome though !

You wouldn't be the first guy to come to Edinburgh for a short stay with a female and end up looking for me. Luckily like you most have failed in finding me. and just like this lorry driver on my commute home tonight, those who have found me couldn't catch me ?

Shut down on the first plan with the logging road closed aith the heli pad on the road. So over to another alpine hike a bike to see if its an eeb climb. Not quite, 45minute climb, 1 1/2 hike a bike and 1/2 hr scramble to the summit sans eeb.
