The area around it has a sign saying 'Stay clear Drop zone' which is worrying. I presume it's just for lifting equipment up to the mast rather than personnel?
@Tonybro might have seen it in action as he's a regular visitor.

Oh god, now you've done it .. @The Hodge will be over to take pictures of it in action and load them up as the next flip book for us to download and assemble. The last one was already a Zack Snyder extended re-mix of his previous 2 hour ride ..

The sound of a 5cyl Audi was fantastic, I worked for a while in garage where all the techs had tuned Coupés or Quattros. The noise at the end of the day was like a rally starting.
The little 3cyls used these days have a similar off beat gruff engine note.

The family business (which I was only very briefly a part of ) was based at The Comb and in between stages of the old R.A.C.rally ..as such we got into non spectator parts of the forest to watch those fire breathing monsters fly through..some sight (& sound )..?

Yep ..you are right ..at the other end of the scale we also have a DS3..1.2 3 pot with a turbo ..Great engine noise inside the cab and while not particularly quick it thinks its a baby Ferrari ..?

Very quick Zimmsy ..?
I had to look up what a cut & shut was ..but can confirm the only welds are original ..
I think the door was left open while I was taking pics of a nice sunset and drinking red wine .. the missus was driving at the time ( alco free)..had left the keys in the car and didn't want to accidently lock us out ..
Edit : Mine is not the bi-turbo..only 272hp..but quick enough for me ..still gets to 60 in a little over 5 seconds..and is limited to 155mph ..

Many years ago .. when I was young and only fell off motorcycles going much much faster than I fall off mountain bikes and only ever broke a toe..

Some friends were offered a Group B Short wheel base Audi S1 . It was a development car with 800hp and in financial terms was being given away as they scrapped Group B so it was also - scrap ! .. They didn't buy it .. I bet they still kick themselves .. though in fairness you'd have to be 1% of the 1% to probably not die driving it.
