@PaoloBLEvo Quick question - on the iPhone, when you download a map for offline use, does BLEvo use the offline version first if the user has a data connection?

I.e. Would we need to manually disable data/4G on the phone to make BLEvo use the offline map?

Also - the Android version seems to have more settings available (I may be wrong); would it be possible to add these to the iPhone version?

Many thanks
Sorry but I don't know because I use the library for the maps and I don't know how it works in deep.. I suppose that the offline map are used before ask for online map..

I'm not too concerned about cost, want the BEST option to run Blevo, Strava, Mission Control and a few other apps, on a relatively small android platform.... complicating things, I have two ebikes that I switch back and forth with.... and Levo and an SL....
This is a good small device

The price is not so small, but this is what you need for BLEvo and so on..

On the Speed and Cadence "speedo" type dials. what are the red dots for?
I have one on each dial, can't remember both but one is sort of 10 o'clock position.
For the speed is set to 25km/h.. The EU limit
For cadence it is set to 70rpm because it is the lower cadence to keep during ride for better motor performance..

Ok thanks Paolo,

In reference to my second question, the Android version seems to have more settings available (I may be wrong); would it be possible to add these to the iPhone version?

I don't know , I use it with blevo, but I would think so. Its ant and bluetooth.
I haven't really looked at the MC. so don't even know if it works with a HRM.

Hi Paolo,
I’m thinking about buying your app as I’m fed up with Mission Control dropping my connection during a ride. It doesn’t happen all the time but maybe once or twice a ride I’ll look down and see a message on MC to tell me that it’s disconnected, then a minute later it’ll reconnect.
Is your app more stable? If I use Blevo will it stop my disconnect issue or is it more likely I have a dodgy TCU and I’ll still have the same issue when using Blevo.
Thanks ?

If it's any help, my Mission Control disconnects lots during rides, I stopped using it other than to set assistance levels which I havent changed in months. BLEvo hasn't disconnected yet - same phone, same bike.

It does cause issues though if you have a a second computer such as a navigation device which is also linked up. The TCU keeps switching between the two or keeps disconnecting one (usually the phone) to search for the other device. So in my limited experience, un-pairing one or the other fixed the problem. This for me applied to both ANT+ and BT devices.

It's also worth checking the firmware revision of the TCU, Specialized apparently fixed a load of connectivity issues with the latest firmware.

I changed some data fields in Blevo display configuration, I’d like to know how I get back the horizontal bar that changes from green, yellow and red depending if you’re in eco, trail or turbo. It was there before I changed some data fields but I can’t figure out how to get it back. iOS

thanks

@PaoloBLEvo recently I’ve noticed I get a lot of “You have moved away from the route” messages even though I’ve I’m still on the route. Is there a way to reduce the sensitivity so I can be off route by say 50mtrs...?

I may be imagining this, but it only seems to happen since the last update. I’m on 3.7.2 on Android on a Galaxy S5.

Great app...still the best...?

Hi. I have two quite old Turbo Levo's bought late 2016 - 2017 models 6fattie Comps. They are both running quite old firmware and I'm about to take them to a dealer to get them updated to latest firmware both motor and battery. The batteries particularly can cut out if under very high load at about 4 LED's left on the very old firmware (I think it has a 4 in it, never been updated and bought Oct 2016) and the motors have a habit of cutting out briefly when climbing from time to time which annoys my missus who rides one of them as it makes climbing technical trails somewhat awkward. I'm hoping firmware will cure these two small issues. They have 460Wh batteries and 1.2 motors.

Question is will the speed override in Blevo still work with latest update for these models? It's a big point, and the main reason why I've never traded up my own 2018 Carbon Levo Expert to a 2019/20 model which I know is now locked down (though there are workarounds). I put a range extender on instead to get 900Wh and a 29 front wheel. There's no way my missus will want to go back to hauling a bag of cement behind her over 25kph so if it won't work I'll stick with the old firmware. Once optimised by Blevo the bikes are perfectly OK to use for my daughter and girlfriend apart from those two small issues. I'm very happy with my 2018 Carbon so I won't touch this, it's fine as it is on A.17 battery firmware and I don't want to risk it defaulting to Brose 15amp firmware, locked speed limit or similar issues. It was crap as stock but using Blevo I've now got it close to perfect for what I want to do (14%, 28%, 100%, and MC 0)

So I just need to know if speed hack still works on latest firmware for up to 2018 models (Turbo Levo Mark 1) prior to the models which have a TCU (2019 on)

Thanks in advance, Mark (Apologies if this has been dealt with but I can't find it in the 132 pages on this thread)

The Android version is developed for use the phone on the handlebar. The ios has more or less the same functionality but less oriented to place the phone on the handlebar (due to the cost of the phone).
And at the end, Android is easier to develop for me that I'm not an app developer..

Thanks Pablo. Any thoughts on including remote disabling software for a stolen bike, or bicycle tracking?
Blevo is fantastic, well done.
Very hard to implement.. you need a dedicated SIM card a dedicated GPS inside the bike.. I think there is something similar on the market..

Ok sorry to hear that, I thought you were an app developer, my mistake ?

To that end, please could you make it clear which features are available on which platform as I'm sure others will want to know this before they purchase.

Hi there. As stated above Blevo will continue to work regardless of any updates. However, you might lose the ability to set MC0 if you update to the latest battery firmware. This happened to my bike. I had the motor firmware updated as my motor was not giving full output capability. I asked them specifically NOT to update the battery software as I was using MC0 like you are. When I collected the bike they said the motor software would not update without doing the battery software as well so they did both. It's not the end of the world but I did lose the ability to set the MC parameter.

I didn't update my own 2018 Carbon Levo running x.22 battery software for this reason and I'm going to leave it alone - it works fine with Blevo enhancement, though it was flat as fart as stock when I bought it. It had no power at all and was no fun to ride but is now close to perfect for me (15/28/100, MC0, power acc). I only updated my 2017 partner's bike and my old bike which my daughter now uses. They ended up with x.23.1 software - the shop could only seem to put this latest one on. It works OK and I don't think either will much notice the loss of MC0 behaviour. I think the infinite tune will take some fiddling with to get good behaviour. I am minded to just put it on 15/30/100 with 100% power on each setting which should be close to the old MC0 behaviour. I only got the software updated as both users complained that the motor 'dropped out' when pushed on some climbs. It would cut out for perhaps a quarter of a second then start again. There was also an issue where the battery could drop from 40% to nothing when doing a really hard 'all turbo' climb in the Alps, presumably due to either motor heat or voltage drop. It would then not turn on again unless recharged. I'm hoping the update fixes this but I won't know until they are used in anger. I can report speed change is still possible on both. Thanks for the input...
