Nope 2021, confirmed from Commencal during their IG Live yesterday

Interesting, if that really is a 2021 then it means they have expanded their model line up with different frames, and kept the existing running alongside

The bike i pictured says Meta AM power on the rear swing arm. This bike pictured here is the SX.

Yes, but it looks like the same frame style on the AM too for 2021, also the bike in the instagram post doesn't appear to have the new motor.

Really do hope they make a raw model, either with Zeb or lyrik fork, would prefer the lyrik, it just looks way too good

Hmm, I wonder if its just a 2021 frame with probably the new battery (new battery won't fit in current frame) Do you know if the new motor is the same size and layout as the current? Gonna be an exciting year

the more I look at the pics the more I am sure its just a custom 2020 - technically from what we know the new motor will fit the existing Shimano motor mounts, but the down tube and battery cover on the pics dont look any different to the current model.

It wouldnt surprise me if they kept the current design at a lower price point in the range, with the new bikes slotting in above, however I would assume the pros would be riding the higher end models.

When I enquired about availability of RockShox equipped Meta power bikes last month I got the following reply from commencal.

Firstly, thank you for contacting us here at Commençal.

I’m sorry but those models are now totally sold out and this 2020 will not be produced anymore.

We will release our new 2021 range mid of June, and bikes will be available in August.
Until then I unfortunately have no solution for such a model in this range of price in Medium, sorry.

Yup, a lot of brands have sold out their stock of certain 2020 models due to the covid uplift in bike sales - I know my LBS are desperate for more stock, but just cant get it with various brands.

That would be awesome if they had a lower end model that compared to this years model on top of a new fleet. I sure hope Commencal US doesn't sell out of the Team edition in large soon, been planning and saving for that bike since I first saw it released. I've even purchased a new helmet, kit, gloves, grips, pedals, handlebars and bottlecage that perfectly match the 29 Team ?

Exciting news. Just about to pull the trigger on the metta power 29 ride.
I asked the USA rep if We could do an interview for the dirt_ebike podcast. he told me that marketing wouldn’t let them do interviews currently because of new products in the works

might wait a second see if the deals change
