That’s a reasonable assumption and I hope that is the case.

Really it just makes sense that e-bike speed limits should be globally increased to the 32 km/h / 20 mph & 45 km/h / 28 mph standards. Unfortunately what we have with EN15194:2017 are measures to reinforce the ludicrously unjustified 25 km/h / 15.5 mph limit.

With the 2017 amendments, should there be an accident with a e-bike that results in litigation, the judge will presume that the bike conformed with the Machinery Directive requirements and so the burden of proof is upon the complainant. For all other aspects of e-bike regulations, the burden of proof is now on the manufacturer.

In effect, this requires manufacturers to implement as many measures as possible to maintain conformity.

Whatever wrong headed safety justification that 7 km/h slower has made e-bike riding any safer on roads anywhere, we are talking about off-road bikes. So it is a ridiculous arbitrary, bureaucratic nanny-state imposed limit that in the end, helps nobody. My guess is that Specialized agrees.
Well said! (y)

Hi Paulo, I'm loving the app!
I'm using the Vertical BM 2+2+2+2. Sometimes the Motor Power graph shows in red. Sometimes yellow and sometimes green. Can you tell me what causes the colour changes? Many thanks.

Paolo, is there any limitation in readings of biker power? I saw it few times that when i reach max 575W even if i push harder nothing changes...ok may it be a delay in measurement?

The new 3.5.5 version of BLEvo for iOS is available on the Apple Store.
I also added the functionality of the bell via remote control and of General Lee's siren in IOS.

Here are all the news:
- Added the functionality of the bell via remote control
- Added compatibility with firmware 2.32.2 (Levo 2018)
- Added TCU version as per Mission Control
- Bugix: GPX Import
- Now the Smart Power in non Expert has the leg power decreased in TRAIL and TURBO

Enjoy your ride with BLEvo.

But do you reach the max in the statistic of BLEvo?
Because if yes, you need to update the firmware even if the firmware is already updated.. Please trust me.. it happened to many users that they didn't reach the 700W only because the updated was not correct...

Hi Paulo,
I have a small feature request. In Britain we tend to use mph for speed and metres for height. It would be nice to be able to setup the units in Blevo like that.
Ok, I will try to add the option...

ED_M may be an Englishman which may or may not help (I'm kind of a Brit too). He also knows electronics, BLEvo and or Italian. Most likely all of them.

Hi Paolo,

I'm your app looks great and I'm really interested in using the heart rate function, getting fitter was one of the main reasons for getting my Levo.

I have a couple of questions if you don't mind, I've looked at the FAQ's and in this thread, but can't find anything, so hope you'll forgive me if they have been answered before.

Firstly, I want to use the app on a iPhone 6s running iOS 13.2.3, IN the app store it says 'iOS version doesn't have yet all the functionalities implemented' can you advise what is not available in the iOS version?

Second, what type of HR monitor is compatible? will something like this work?

Thanks, and hope you can help

Hi Paolo, thanks for the update, I have a question. I downloaded and used Blevo a few months ago to unlock my Turbo Levo 2019 successfully. Since then I have not used again Blevo, but recently I tried to use Blevo to record a ride, and wasn't able to connect to my Levo, what should I do to fix this? I have the latest version of Blevo installed on my iPhone.

Thanks for your reply,

Gaby

I was riding with my BV6000 yesterday, paired Turbo Levo with new firmware and paired remote. After about two hours of riding BLevo is not updating the bike status. It shows as connected. Remote is not working either. I restarted bike, but still no updates, but still shows as connected as well as the remote. I tried disabling bluetooth and enable it again after 1 minute, but still the bike shows as connected. I had to reboot the bv6000 for it to to connect again. Remote connection lost quite soon again but I didnt care.
Is this the fault of the BV6000 or a BLevo bug?

Did you try with Mission Control?
Which TCU version you have?

Hi Guys,

Yesterday I had a bad Levo day as the bike didn't want to connect with the BV6000 with Android 7.0 anymore. Believe me I have tried everything. Strange thing was that both MC and BLEvo were not able to connect anymore. I also switched the phone back to factory settings. Really nothing helped.

In the end I tried to connect the bike to my iphone where both the ios MC and BLEvo app gave instant and stable connection. Then I remembered I have an old Samsung Tablet. I installed MC and BLEvo on the Samsung Tablet which is running on Android 5.0.2. Also there the connection was stable and instant.

Still had the issue with the BV6000 connection. Then I started to Google around and I found this post:
Bluetooth (and apps using it) will degrade their playback performance if battery saver option is enabled. This is due to an aggressive battery policy made by google, as this problem is not only present in blackview smartphones but also in google's ones!

You must disable the battery optimization optionfor the bluetooth services and for every app that will use bluetooth to transmit data (spotify, music player, and so on...) After that, your bluetooth performance will be perfect.

How to?

1) Go to settings -> Battery
2) Tap on the "3 dots" in the upper right corner of the app
3) Tap on "Battery optimization"
4) Select "All apps" from the drop down menu
5) Tap on the desired app and select "Don't optimize"

As i wrote before, you have to disable battery optimization for every bluetooth service (Bluetooth MIDI service, BT Tool, Bluetooth sharing) and for every app that will use bluetooth to transmit data (your music player, Call manager, telephone dialer app and so on). You will find everything in the "All apps" list in the Battery optimization settings.

I tried the settings above on the BV6000 for both the MC and BLEvo app. Guess what, connection is stable and instant again. As an ios user I am still amazed about all these hidden Android settings. The devil seems to be in the details...

I hope this post can help others too. Please let us know too if it has helped then I know also for sure this must have been the issue. I know there were many people with MC and BLEvo connection issues with the new 2019 Levo.
HI Maastricht
I updated my levo to TCU 3.037 the bike works well but I still can’t get the BV6000S to connect to the bike.
I just updated to the latest android version of BLEvo, I erased all data in bLevo , I removed all Bluetooth connected devices , And now my other 2019 Levo that was working perfectly with the android phone Bv6000s ,won’t connect either ,but both bikes connect perfectly with the iPhone 11 to Blevo .

I also downloaded Mission Control on the BV6000S and Mission Control does not work either ,meaning it won’t connect,

Could the BV6000S have change settings I followed your instructions above and the Bluetooth settings are not optimized.

I also uninstalled Blevo and reinstalled it.

It would seem like the problem is the BV6000S, what should I try next?

Sorry but if also Mission Control is not able to connect to the bike, I think the BV6000s has some Bluetooth issue.
In my case the connection works only if there are not interferencies in the Bluetooth connection.. e.g. in my house I'm not able to connect.. in the garage yes.. maybe the wifi, maybe the watch with BLE in advertsing mode.. I don't know the root cause, but I can't in my house.. I don't know if this can help you..

Today I did my first ride with the new phone LG G6..
The phone with the silicon cover stays very well in the GUB hokder, without any additional elastics.
The screen has very good characteristics for ride with BLEvo. My only doubt is the battery. It has "only" 3300mAh. The problem is the brightness of the bigger screen (5.5" instead 4.7" of the BV6000).
My ride was about for 2 hours and half and the phone has been with the screen on for all the time .. the battery left has been 30%.. but at the begin the brightness was at 100% and the first 30 minutes the battery went quickly down.. then I set the brightness to 50%. I will repeat the test starting with 50%.
Maybe this phone is not very good for a long ride, or for a ride with always the screen on.
You can switch off the screen and with BLEvo the screen can be switched on with the remote control, or changing the assistance level or when a waypoint is reached. This trick can be used for save some battery during long ride.
I attach some comparison pictures between LG G6 and BV6000
