After the “Just Say NO to intergrated batteries” thread. I was thinking it was time for another poll on what we really should be saying no to.
Also if you have any worthy addition you would like added then I’ll see if I can add them.
Multiple choice but a maximum of 3.
Give us your top 3 so we can see what we really should say no to.

let it rip ?

I own tons of lycra... plenty folk enjoy seeing my bulge.. what ya so scared of @outerlimits ?

the laydee doth protest too much me thinks ;)
I’m not allowed to wear Lycra, says my wife, except for the bedroom, but that’s another story.
Now for every person that enjoys seeing your bulge @Gary, there would be 100 that would be scared for life. So it’s a Firm No for Lycra for me.

loving the fact you need to proclaim you have a wife.

This guy had one too

WTF .... I love my foam grips.

Oh, and I don't give a shit who my bulges upset - I wear lycra when I want to.

We did have triplets you know ? it was a night when we run out of lube so we used 3 in 1 Oil.
So glad I didn’t use gt85 or WD40 ?

I’ll probably get a lot of flack for this but I’d actually say no to presta valves.
Oh yeah, somebody explain to me what just happened??!

I slept under a rock for 10 years and when I started MTBiking again everything tyre related has Presta valves? Where did all the Shrader valves go? Did someone from the future send a Terminator to the past to kill the Shrader valve inventor, and I missed the memo?

With his custom lycra, he looks like this when he's "happy" .. it doesn't leave much to the imagination

So the vast majority want to ride a eMtb that has a solid pair of grips and flat pedals spinning a round chain ring, driving reasonable size tyres, filled with sealant and inserts for protection. All whilst perched on a dropper post wearing anything but Lycra while drinking a cool glass of milk that taste like real milk. And we want our bikes to look sexy god dam it! No boring flat black or unnecessary battery bulges detracting from the look. And we don’t care too much about the weight, as long as it looks good and performes well.

And the winner is...

*drum roll*

MALE INSECURITY

Well done Emtb community ?

No to ebike motor parts being unavailable to ordinary mortals.
There is on average just 10 bearings inside a motor and a few circular clips. Not exactly rocket science.

I realise that a bench press is probably needed to remove most of them and one of those devices is quite expensive (£250) but I’m sure a cheaper bike- specific one could be developed for removing stubborn rusted bearings.
And a nice Haynes manual on motor strip down and rebuild specific to your motor.

Why would anyone put an oval chainring on an ebike, surely the chainring has to be in a specific place in relation to the cranks to work
