The first-generation Strive:ON (2023–2025) was Canyon’s race-bred carbon e-enduro — developed with Fabien Barel for EDR-E racing and crowned BikeRadar eMTB Bike of the Year 2024. 170 mm front / 160 mm rear, mixed 29/27.5in wheels, and a clean, planted Triple Phase chassis.
Crucially, almost the whole range ran the standard Bosch Performance Line CX (85 Nm / 600 W) — the value-focused CFR Underdog (£5,499) and the award-winning CFR (£6,699). Only the flagship CFR LTD (£8,999) got Bosch’s CX Race Limited Edition motor (same 85 Nm but a 400% race assist mode and slightly lighter). It did not use the newer “CX-R” unit, which arrived later.
This generation is now discontinued, superseded in May 2026 by the new Bosch Gen5 (120 Nm) Strive:ON. Still a brilliant used buy if you find one — just know which motor a given trim has.
