Would this drivetrain be good for eMtb?

Spotted this cheap as chips 9 speed clutched 11-42 drivetrain.

Thoughts ?

We discussed it when it was first publicised a few weeks ago - does look pretty ideal for ebikes to me, at least on paper...

The hardest part might be actually buying a microshift product if you're in the US. They've been advertised for years here but you can never find anyone who sells their stuff. I'd like to try the Advent on one of my fat bikes but time will tell if I can ever get my hands on the system.

Personally I'd just go Shimano 10 speed (Deore/SLX/Zee mix)
it's just as cheap, lighter, decent quality and durable.

I've found fitting a cassette with less gears on an Emtb means I spend more time in the 15t sprocket as the jump to the next (18t) sprocket is a 3t jump (instead of 2t to 17t as on 11 and 12 speed cassettes) and because of this that individual sprocket is wearing out faster.
a 10 speed 11-36 offers the spacing I'd prefer at the cost of a really low bottom gear (which I rarely ever use with the motor switched on)
