I've had these Columbia boots for about 3 months and they have been great for me.Hi all looking for a new pair of flat winter boots any recommendations.
I've got the Shimano ones without boa - they are like boats on me; to get the width they need to be long - I don't feel very secure in them off roadI don’t think that either Bontrager or Shimano can claim that their riding boots are waterproof …probably water-resistant.
The Bontrager winter boots are good for very cold weather. The Shimano boots are my most used for wet conditions.
Booth use the Boa lace-system.

I agree. My first pair(Shimano )were too narrow and probably a size too small.I've got the Shimano ones without boa - they are like boats on me; to get the width they need to be long - I don't feel very secure in them off road
The DO look terrible, but the only thing that actually works!Wear Five Ten Primaloft (Mid) boots in winter (don't think they're made any more). If it's really wet also wear Vaude Black SE Short gaiters as recommended by @Rob Rides EMTB They are fugly but work perfectly. When worn out buy more in summer when nobody wants them.

Agree, those Burners are great!for me, Endura's MT500 Burner Clipless Waterproof Shoes.
I've wasted money on the likes of 510's & fox but the endura actually work![]()
I have these as well and while I'm not cold in them, they aren't the most comfortable. They tend to poke at my ankles (from inside) sometimes. Also the top is very bulky. Not sure if I would choose them again.Vaude AM Moab Mid winter STX

Definitely consider Endura MT500,( true to size and easy to get on & off) That's what I use at the moment, but I've owned load of so called waterproof shoes/boots, some goretex some own brand wp membrane......they all fail in my opinion and to this point I always back my mtb footwear with a waterproof sock and when that don't work, just wear good old Wellie boots.Hi all looking for a new pair of flat winter boots any recommendations.
Winter riding is awesome. 45North boots help keep the feet warm. Sometimes I have to wear goretex socks for extra warmth.I win for heaviest boot. The only thing missing on these boots is the spots to install studs for ice. They used to have the studs holes on previous versions.
