Evening all,

I have just ordered my Amflow - base model - what exactly does the sim card enable? And I'm guessing that a phone plan is required to maintain it?

Cheers,
Scott

I believe it's for stuff like syncing ride data to the cloud, and enables being able to track/locate the bike if it's pinched etc.

Altho if the SIM is removed by the tea leaf that stole it, bang goes that facility 🤷🏽‍♂️

Here's a reply from Amflow Support, link takes you to:

(I have no f-ing idea why the link is referencing that SRAM text, but link gets you there)

A major public transport operator discovered through secret testing that Chinese-made electric buses from manufacturer Yutong can be remotely stopped and disabled from China via a SIM card module with direct access to critical systems but hopefully that's not the reason Amflow got.

same irrational fears of the chinese
"Fears of chinese" lol 😂 I don't fear chinese, or anything else. But I read books and I'm interested what's happening in the world. In this case, I would call my self a realist.
