Thought I'd start a new thread about reasons we bought the bikes.

I bought my PL simply because I wanted a lighter, more XC-style, EMTB that also had a great tech stack. That it blends a bit more with a slimmer profile definitely fit into the decision as well. I'd also like to point out that just a few months ago, it was the best bang for your buck performance EMTB.

I bought my PL Pro at the start of the year even though I knew the new models / motors were coming out soon and I have not regretted that decision once. Why - I bough a Lapierre (untested) last year through C2W scheme and made the mistake of getting a Large (was on the cusp of M/L). Didn't enjoy riding it as felt I was riding on it rather than with it. Now sold to a friend who has a hardly used eMTB for a bargain and wants to go out and do trails (win/win).

Again with Amflow, on the M/L cusp but went for medium and that was the right decision. I've made a slightly 'larger' by moving the saddle back 1cm and a new 35x50mm stem and rides brilliantly. Motor wise, after using different modes for different things, I tuned Auto to what I think is good for 90% of riding (85nm/750W) and only use trail (95nm/900W) when I really need extra oomph. Never use turbo and very, very rarely boost (>1%). For my style of riding & trails, I do not need more power than that.

I could have waited to get a PX/PR but seeing the dates for pre-orders, I'm glad I didn't as I'm enjoying riding it now !

Why the mulleted PL Carbon Pro ?

Light weight
The power of the Avinox M1
The interfacing with the SRAM AXS Transmission
The display, with all that information
The slim MTB-like profile.
Super playful and agile
Capable on the downhill.
And the pièce de résistance. That climbing ability. Climbs like a mountain goat.
