Coming off 4 seasons on a Levo SL, and looking for a replacement. I'm 5'9" 160 lbs, an old guy with 40 years MTB experience. I am NOT an aggressive rider, NOT looking for a shuttle bike, but rather tend towards 3-hour backcountry rides, built/flow trails, long climbs to a view AND having FUN getting back down!
Who makes an SL Trail/All-Mountain bike that meets the following criteria?
Carbon frame
Mullet wheels
Sub 45 lb weight
150-160 front / 140-150 rear
400-600 Wh battery (light weight)
50-100 Nm torque (I DON'T need 130 Nm!)
Bosch, TQ, Avinox motor (NO Shimano or Fauza)
Mid-level Sram/Shimano build kit (electronic shifting would be sweet but not required)
***NOT an overly stiff or aggressive frame, but FUN and FORGIVING to ride***
Sub $10K USD price
Available in the US
Some bikes that I'm considering:
Pivot Shuttle AMP'D
Pivot Shuttle SL-AM (This bike looks really interesting, but concerned about lack of motor power and battery life)
Transition Regulator
Yeti MTE
Propain Sresh LT
Orbea Rise LT
Revel Rerun
Amflow PX
What should I rule out and WHY?
What should be on my list but isn't and WHY?
Thanks!
