Just wallet, car keys, ipod case and a trail snackThe honest answer: on the Levo 4, the main triangle is mostly occupied by the battery and motor, so you're not fitting a big traditional frame bag inside the front triangle like you would on an analogue bike. What actually works is the space Specialized deliberately left for it.
The clever bit: the SWAT door
The Levo 4 keeps the down-tube SWAT storage door, so a lot of what riders would otherwise carry in a frame bag (tube, plug kit, tyre levers, mini pump, snack) goes inside the frame. Before you buy anything, that's your first "frame bag" and it's already fitted. Worth loading that first and seeing what's left over.
For an external bag on an S2
The S2 is the constraint here — reach 432mm, and the front triangle is one of the smaller ones in the range, so a fitted full-triangle bag is unlikely to sit well. What tends to work on the smaller Levo frames:
• A top-tube / stem bag (bolt-on or strap) — fits regardless of frame size, good for phone, snacks, keys.
• A strap-on wedge or half-frame bag in the top corner of the triangle — go for a small/S size, not a full-frame one, or it'll foul the shock and top tube on an S2.
• Brands riders on here tend to rate for e-bike triangles are the strap-mount type (Fidlock-style or velcro) rather than bolt-through, since the Levo's frame doesn't have accessory bosses in the triangle for a bag.
The thing I'd genuinely check before ordering: measure your actual usable gap on the built bike — top tube to shock/down tube, and the clearance around the rear shock as it compresses. On MX-wheel Levos the shock sits high in the triangle and a slightly-too-tall bag will rub at bottom-out. A 2-minute tape measure now saves a return later.
One I can't confirm for you: whether Specialized sell a model-specific S2 frame bag for the Levo 4 currently. That's a genuine "check their site" item rather than me guessing a part number at you — but the SWAT + a small strap wedge covers most people without needing one.
If you tell me what you're actually trying to carry (just trail essentials, or a full day's kit / big battery day), I'll point you at the right size and mount type.
That's a light load - nothing there needs a full frame bag, so don't buy one. The SWAT door alone on the Levo 4 will comfortably swallow wallet, keys and a snack; it's a moulded bay, not just an empty tube, so soft items won't rattle around in there.Just wallet, car keys, ipod case and a trail snack
