I realise value can be perceived differently so try to keep this just for fun & light-hearted!

Just been looking at what I could replace my 2022 Reign E+ with & my research has got me thinking, we all look for the best value, so what's the worst value ebike currently on the market, in your opinion?

There are bike that some people just want, regardless of them being 'not great value', some are brand driven, some just love the look of the bike (My Oso at full price :))

I seen a man and woman on S-Works Levos out on the trails a few years back when they were $25,000au each here and thought wow... thats lot of coin in 2 bikes. Later I seen their kids at the jumps on the same 2 bikes

If you are happy with the bike and happy with the price you paid... and the depreciation of it while enjoying it, you may not think of it as bad value.

Buy what you like/want, can afford and be happy with the choice. There is always going to be newer and better coming as soon as you buy it. The 'better' might only be in your mind though.

There was a thread here a month or so ago where a member bough a PL Carbon Pro, 1 week before the PX was released. It was/is an awesome bike when he bought it and still is but he felt let down that the new PX may have been the newer better choice... and by the way, not everyone spends time trolling MTB forums looking for upcoming bikes like a lot of us do.

Totally understand & this is why I wanted to keep it as light-hearted as possible :) Ride whatever makes you happy and makes you want to ride regardless of cost!

I'm really just wondering what the worst value bike is currently available, in terms of on-paper data (specifications vs RRP), especially with the bike industry being a bit chaotic at the moment and prices seem to be all over the place

Thats why I didn't have a specific bike for you as 'worst value'. There are a lot that we label as overpriced but someone may see the value in that same bike for other reasons.

Its easier to name the best value bikes... but they might not be to everyone's taste either.

That question is impossible to answer without it being rephrased to your own or someone else's opinion.

What I find interesting is with the recent price drop, the S-works Levo 4 has gone from one of the worst values to one of the best.

My son paid under $11K and it has Fox Factory suspension, XX drivetrain, carbon wheels, Maven Ultimates, Fox wireless dropper, Power Pro seat, full Invisiframe wrap, etc., etc. And one of the best paint jobs I've ever seen on a bike. Add in the usual Specialized stuff like SWAT storage, easily removeable battery, bult in tools and range extender support and it's hard to beat.

You forgot 16 amp super charger but I didn't know it had invisiframe attached or did the shop through it in for free?

Inarguably, it has to be the Blulans S11 ULT
BLULANS S11ULT
$48k USD
Bafang motor
800ish WH battery
Looks like a motorbike.
And for those of you not keen to click the link...here is what it looks like.

Anything over the $7K AUD price point. I’m lucky enough to already own a $7K AUD Giant Reign purchased in 2024, and after a few more seasons thrashing her around I’ll be looking to trade up. By then, I’m excited to see where the market has moved.
