What did you buy your ebike this week?

Too difficult to source Galfer Purple brake pads in my Hope V4 size, so I ordered two pair of MTX Gold. Inexpensive enough to try, and thinking they gotta be better than the hard Lewis pads that love to howl. We'll see.

I bought cheap plastic ht pedals. They have actually much more grip that my older aluminum crank brother stamps they replaced an are slightly lighter. Good upgrade to ride quality, especially for the price.

I only have a couple of rides on my Crank Bros composite pedals and I’m already thinking of replacing them. Their spikes are nowhere near as grippy as what I’m used to. I like that I can reposition my feet easier but I’m definitely moving around more on them. I’ll give them another week or two to adjust but they’re on probation right now.

My bikes been on HT pa03a pedals for a couple of years, brilliant pedals, good grip, tough, reliable and won't break the bank at around £35 pair.
 
Another vote for HT PA03A. Replaced them with Deity TMAC’s, which were the best pedals I’ve ever had. But fragile. Went back to the HT.

Correctomondo! 1.4 water cooled. so it has a little more power, and hopefully better reliability. Still scary to drive.
My 20 year gap since the last one had frosted over the memories of the steering.
 
ordered a new set of frame bearings for me Rise
then realised the screw holding the main pivot in place was super loose!
I'll need to do the job at some point - just not yet
 
I bought my eMTB a friend. Got this new Slash+ for £2,999, to add to my stable, and am genuinely in love! Two rides in and I'm having so much fun, and that's in the current sopping wet we currently have. Can't wait for the dry weather at the end of the week...

I bought a 34T chainring to replace the stock 32T on my eElja. Also bought a new chain since the stock chain will be too short for the new chainring. That's it for now.
 
Started as a 2024 RM Altitude A70. 1600km later the only thing stock is the frame, headset, fork, cranks and XT shifter/derailleur. Most recent mods include Vorsprung Telum, Schwalbe MM and TC Radials and Oquo MC32 DT swiss 350 wheels. Other mods, Hayes Purple Dominion A4, OneUp V3 post/lever, OneUp aluminum pedals, OneUp carbon bars, Chromag Clutch grips, RF turbine stem and Wolftooth seatpost collar. Testing saddles and have landed on NinteyK Yes (not picture).

I bought some BBB core caps as I am sick of presta valves, in particular the cores bending / binding
They simply screw on to the presta valve body and you then use a schrader pump to inflate the tyre
Seem to work well so far.

A lot of stuff but after a few years with low costs a little bit of mainaintence and bling bling is allowed.
 
Well that took a lot longer than I anticipated.

I've built probably over 100 wheels in the last 25yrs and this should have been <1 hour job.

Needed to relace one of my current carbon wheels with a new DT oversize hub and spokes to accommodate the Fox Podium 20mm axle, already had it stripped and ready to go. There was a 240 on there already but the OS hub has larger flanges of course.

Laced the whole wheel and bottomed out the nipples... I had laced it 2 cross 😟 Unlace, and start again. Ended up taking over 2.5hrs. Thats the first time since I started building wheels that I made such a balls up.
Came up nice after the reload, 110kgf, even tension and spokes well through the nipple heads.
