What did you buy your ebike this week?

I bought my 2022 Orbea Rise H10... a new bike!
Now, does anyone want to buy an Orbea Rise H10... 😁

PNW just recalled their Loam 2 pedals again. Apparently the replacement axles are still experiencing some failures, so PNW is doing the right thing and recalling all of them.
This means I need some pedals, so I went with black Crank Brothers Stamp 1 composite pedals. After using PNW's alloy and composite pedals I've decided composite is the way to go for me. Considered size Small but CB says my size 11 feet will be happier with size Large.

Looks very interesting. Thanks for the heads up (y). My only reticence is the need to stick the securing tabs onto the frame. I just don't like putting highly sticky things onto my bike frame in case I need to take them off.
I have one of these on my Whyte Kado - highly recommended. Especially as it prevents a heap of crap being thrown up into the battery compartment during winter.

Those Raceface Atlas pedals look the business! I like my Spank Spoons but I've rebuilt them twice now since the Igus bushing on the crank side wears out pretty quickly. I've been thinking of trying a new pedal with a proper bearing on the crank side so I've just ordered a pair of Atlas (y)

Plenty of those used for about £20 if you look around, or cheaper still if you're willing to go Ice Toolz or unbranded Chinesium toot. I love tools, single use tools not so much. I still have an £80 diamond brick coring drill I used to route my shower waste out to the drain. I really should stick it on ebay since I'm not installing showers every or even any week.

Single use tools bother me too.

I can't find any used Park LRT-4s, but even new it's still £20-30 cheaper than the Shimano TL-FC430.

I did look for Chinesium ones but wasn't sure which was the exact match. Do you know which IceToolz is an equivalent?

EDIT: As if by magic, I just checked eBay again and one has appeared for £17 so bought that straight away. Must have just been listed this morning :D

I need a new fork for my cube so I found "Fox 36 K Float Factory E-Optimized 150 Grip X2 29" 58HT Tapered Boost" for 500€ new, some kinda OEM version when the normal retail ones go for over 1k€, I hope its pretty much the same as the retail one just different or no logos.

Bought two new wheelsets for wife and my bikes.

Yesterday realised that the wheels ship with XD Freehubs so had to buy 2 x Microspline 12 Speed Freehubs and 2 x Axle End Caps. Feck.

Edit: Rears were indefinitely delayed so returned the lot for a refund.

Damn, buying wheels is like buying a car. Additional freehubs and end caps are extortionate priced spares like buying half the car all over again !

Told that can remove the 6 springs and pawls from each XD freehub and use them in the Microspline freehubs. Otherwise that would be another wedge escaping my pockets. We. Shall. See.

I used to be a Hope fanboi, when ChainReaction went to Wiggle and they got a bit more expensive, I swapped to DT on every bike, 2019 DT on all bikes, EXP changed the hubs in 2021, end caps still transferred. Still on DT240/350 right now. Decent priced caps and freehubs.

The only pain is Hope came ready for 20mm axle, I'm just about to lace an old rim to a 20mm OS DT hub because of Fox Podium.

If you are going to buy a new set of wheels right now, make sure the front wheel is 20mm capable.

Looked at DT EXC 1200/1500 but don't need ASTM5 rated wheels because left ACL is fubared so air is no longer a good idea because a bad landing could mean a new knee and all the shit that possibly goes with it. Same applies when I'm kitesurfing. Also figured that DT take the £piss.

I used to windsurf in Poole Harbour, stopped maybe '99 - kite-surfing was just starting then, I saw people on peoples roofs even hanging off a telephone line - I can imagine a bad landing!
