This will be my first Summer riding in Arizona. I’m curious to see how the MaxxGrip compound handles the heat.Oh come on man! That tire still has another 200-300 yards left in it. 700 miles is actually very decent mileage for a tire in the desert. And yeah, sealant dries out quickly in our low humidity and high heat.
So, I've been running the new wheels the last 2 weekendsTaco'd my oquo alu front wheel landing a double badly
so I bought a wheelset with Hope Pro 5 hubs on Crank Bros Synthesis Carbon Rims (lightly used) from someone 5 miles down the road.
finding a decent tubeless tape is important, I bought some Bucklos the other day and it was crapLooking to go tubeless on mine.
This will be my first summer on an emtb. I’ll admit, the last two summers I just parked my mtb once it was consistently over 100 during the day. I’m curious how the Levo’s battery is going to do in high temperatures. As far as tires, anything that has a soft or ultra-soft compound is probably going to stick like glue but probably wear out much faster. This will be my first Summer riding in Arizona. As a (formally northeast) golfer I don’t like to play a softer ball when it’s cold. I feel like I’m making the same decision here by not going to a harder tire compound when it’s hot. We’ll see how this works out in practice.

If a company whose grips I grip, offer custom engraving at a fairly reasonable cost. I sir, will partake in said engraving to the tune of “Pizzman”. Hark! lest ye forget the wife. Whose intelligence and bossiness in corporate stuff, allow me the time to engrave grips. And grip those grips in fear……. as many times as I wish per week.
That’s a great idea for us older riders. That way, we don’t ride off with someone elses bike when the old dementia flares up.
Great choice.Treat myself to some matching Halo wheels. 2 hope rotors a set of fresh continentals for spares and a leatt full face ready for eastgate next month

Well I had a standard specialized on the front and a DT swiss 1900 on the rear but the bears have gone in the swiss so bought the halo rear first then I thought nope they have to match haha. The look like a decent set of wheels. I've always liked Halo. Used to have a pair of their SAS 26" wheels on a bike and they were bombproof.
Niggling back not good I'm getting it more often nowadays. Worst scenario it grounds me for a week . Not conscious of doing anything but it tickles up regularly. I was planning a Eurovelo route summer time actually bought the guide book . But reality is kicking in 50 miles a day with panniers mmmm. If I can get a months pass from her indoors I may go for it , remember your a long time dead. Rant over for today. Finally gave into the nagging from my back and bought a Park Tool PRS-30 stand.

I ordered the same based on recommendations from the eastsider who slides powerfully.Based on some convincing statements from some unknown strangers on the Internet, I’ve decided to try this gunk.
The Internet has never steered me wrong before,View attachment 182681 so I’m sure it won’t now

I'm guessing you want an LBS rather than ordering over the internet?Never mind buying for the bike, I’ve been trying to actually buy a bike this week and it seems like no one stocks e-bikes!
I’ve found one bike, a Trek Rail+, at a local shop but they’re £500 dearer than anywhere else.
Even the local Trek Store doesn’t seem to carry any stock of e-bikes!
That was the plan so there’s back up if there’s any issues.I'm guessing you want an LBS rather than ordering over the internet?
you're going to get better deals with somebody like MTB Monster, Leisure Lakes, Tredz etc.
we got our emtbs from MTB MonsterThat was the plan so there’s back up if there’s any issues.
Might have to knock that idea on the head and just buy online instead.
