This last week has seen a butt ton of new parts show up at my front door. They're for a new bike and I want better parts than what it came with. Here's a picture that I thought came out particularly well.

That sucks. But Yay LOLI'm not now.Was a visit to York to see my daughter at University & Peaty's on the way home but she's come down with flu, so it's off.On the bright side, I am free for a ride now. Swings & roundabouts.
Bloody hell, they look super safe!A pair of rechargeable Ocoopa UT5 DuoHeat hand/pocket warmers from Amazon UK. For £18.99 pair if they help get the fingers and hands warm (and keep the family jewels toasty) in winter I'll be happy

I've got a couple of Zippo ones.Bloody hell, they look super safe!
About 60 years ago when fishing in Winter, I used to take a pocket handwarmer with me (very popular at the time). It was a nickel plated steel case full of wadding. The idea was that you tipped a specified amount of lighter fuel into the wadding and then put the cap on. The cap contained a piece of similar wadding but with a steel wire wrapped around it, a bit like a coil spring. You had to light the wadding surrounded by the coil spring, leave it long enough for the wire to glow red. Then blow it out and immediately put the cap back on to the body!
The glowing wire was kept glowing by the lighter fuel fumes released from the wadding in the body. Yes that's right, you had a lighter fuel powered bomb in your pocket.
The heat was released slowly as the lighter fuel was consumed. It lasted all day as I recall. I never heard of any problems, but there was no internet in those days.
God knows what would have happened if the handwarmer tilted in your pocket and neat lighter fuel flowed onto the glowing wire!!There may be hundreds of maimed fisherman still alive today!
The worst that happened to me was my hands smelled of lighter fuel. Not ideal for a fisherman.
PS: I just Googled to see if I could get an image. To my surprise, they are still being sold today!!!

I was just about to say that you’re a Fart Looking Smeller. Leave the beardHaha but that's not me it's a pic I stole of AE, but I can see why you thought it was.....if I squint and knock 30 years off.
I was just about to say that you’re a Fart Looking Smeller. Leave the beardIt’s Movember.
Let’s just say …that was a term of endearment.Fart Looking Smeller? Is that a Canadian insult or complement.....and anyway it's not me.

I have these by the same manufacturer under a different brand.![]()

I tried out my super cheap Ali Express (£3.31) riding glasses that arrived yesterday. I expected them to be useless, so was surprised that they fit good, don't squeak, the large lens coverage keeps the wind off your face and they don't steam up. The chromatic lense actually works (the sun came out and they dimmed instantly) I'm well chuffed tbh.
