Been using it for a couple of years as a preventative measure, and can also recommend.

A lot of the time to control the application (e.g. don't want it getting on the brake rotors obviously) I'll spray it on to a cloth (microfiber works well) and apply with the cloth rather than spraying on directly.

It's not cheap, but a can lasts over a year with me. YMMV.

I use Silicon shine, see the results on my wheel rims.

Rims after the usual bike wash procedure. Then same session, after the application by cloth of the silicon shine.

Might as well just use cheap as chips regular silicone spray. Just like pro-prep in the olden days.

Funny thing: was racing at Pembrey and someone in the same class had used pro-prep to make his bike look pretty for scrutineering. In qualifying first corner he crashed, silly bugger had let spray get onto his rotors. 😆

Funny thing is that another bloke had his front caliper come off going into the Pembrey Esses when he used the front brake. He got off his bike just before it hit the tyre wall. Turned out that he had let someone else change his front brake pads but they hadn't torqued the caliper correctly. Never let anyone touch my brakes - lesson learnt.

I used to do a lot with rallycars, building, servicing, driving & navigating...

a mate I've navigated for since 1999 has a verry small trusted friends list that can do simple tasks (like fuel checks but NOT changing wheels!) as he wants to know everything was done his way - also if anything fails then its his responsibility 🤭

Happy Xmas to me, at this price seems silly not to even with the insurance added at checkout.
Arrived well packaged and in a Bosch box.

Yeah so far I'd have to agree, only one ride so in and I was blown away how much better the bike felt both descending and climbing, the grip was unreal.

I suffer quite badly from hand pain and have tried many things to help, this by far has helped the most. It's the best things I've bought for any bike I've owned!

That's a really good price, unfortunately our Trek Rails take Bosch Vertical Powertubes.
 
Thanks for mentioning the battery above. I've been waiting for a sale on the M2 for the Turbo Levo and looked to find it at half price. Gotta drive 200 miles round trip to get it. But, for $700 in savings I'll gladly suffer through the drive.

When I removed the Bosch motor for a full service (will send to CycloChrome) I noticed that the castle nut was loose. There was no indication other than a slight noise. The old castle nut has been R&R’d several times for different mods and service.

My only conclusion is that the blue loc-tight failed or the reverse threads on the castle nut are worn or stretched …after all it is aluminum.

History; I have less than 20K kms on this motor without any issues …until the loose castle nut incident.

I can’t really justify a new fork and shock upgrade …even though I like the new features.
 
Not for my e-bike but the other half’s - a set of those crazy Pendulum pedals (Outlier MTB — Pendulum Pedal)

He’s struggling with ankle pain and keeping his heel down after breaking it so I’m hoping these will make some sort of difference. They won’t ship for a few months but we’ll see if they work when they arrive!

Those look interesting. I wonder how’d they’d stand up to some aggressive trails?

I ride with magnetic peddles, which are on the heavy side, but the upstroke and foot placement are helpful. Reducing the pins, weight and even the size could make them a little better.

Sorta curious about the geometry change?

The Loam Wolf had quite a positive review of them, but I’ve not always found his reviews to match up with my experiences so I’m taking it with a pinch of salt!
He’s already got a pair of magpeds to try but I’m not convinced they’ll fix/help the heel down issue. A friend who’s been riding them for a year has also said that the magnets seem to demagnetise over time, after a few very sketchy moments with his releasing on massive jumps (30ft tables) he’s gone back to normal clipless.

Ah, those are Canadian dollars and are a less extortionate £163.85, not £238.35 for US$.
Still steep though. Or maybe not?
The last pair of pedals I bought was £100 for a pair of DMR Vault and I've had them for ten years (best guess).
But wait, I see that they can now be had for less than £60 from Evans Cycles. :love:
My Vaults have lost most of their colour and a few pins, but I suspect that I will still have them when I'm in my box on the way to the Crematorium.

If I could, I would go clipless. Always used them on the road bikes. I wonder if the bearings, for the pendulum effect, would hold up over time. Mind you a little flick with the toe could work to orient them correctly. A magnet on one side could reduce the weight for me.

I’d check the melting point of medal before I did that …to avoid any awkward moments 😉
