That’s 3 I own now BUT I wanted a long or uncut steerer-tube so tripped over these, new ‘Expert’ pair but easily upgraded 😎

Muc off are doing a 25% off everything deal. So I bought some Big Bore Hybrid tubeless valves normally £40 for £30. But delivery is only free if you spend more than £30! So I spent time looking for the cheapest thing I could buy that I might actually use that would do the job. I settled on some Silky Suspension Serum, down to £3.74. Delivery charge is normally £3.50.

Total £33.74, but as I was completing the purchase my Norton anti-virus package chipped in with discount codes that it had found. It tried a few before finding "Comeback10" (could be "Comeback 10"). Final total for free delivery was £30.37. So I got the Silky for 36p, less if I took the delivery charge into account.

Let us know how you get on with those valves. Must admit, not sure I want to twist the thingies through 90 degrees to inflate the tyre then back again after inflation.

Manitou are my favoured Mtb suspension and I have used their 'basic' Mara damper so naturally went looking for the Mara Pro damper for the rear of my Canyon Torque:ON (if I ever get a 'safe' battery?) with trunion mount in 225x70mm - Manitou are not easily available here in the UK so bought a used one on EbayUSA that got lost in customs so looked for new and bought from Starbike in Germany:cool:

BUT....

btbFKfc.jpg

while searching for the best priced damper tripped over a seriously cheaper conventional 'eye' mount in 230x65mm that could be used on one of our other bikes so this was also captured🤭 - this was from BikeDiscount again in Germany:cool:

Both starbike.com and bike-discount.de were faultless inn their service and happily posted from Germany to Wales:cool:

Well my favoured Öhlins RFX 38 forks are with J-Tech for a warranty claim (they’re only 10 months old and need a new CSU!), so I’ve bought a set of crowns to put the double crown Öhlins DH38s from the DH bike onto my KSL.

It’ll be interesting to see how it rides with 200mm up front, over stroked to 65mm on the rear, and absolutely no steering lock 😂.

I had to buy a new motor case for the wild after a kiss in the woods with a fallen tree
Is there a stronger aftermarket part you can use, perhaps in addition? We have bashguards from Protect-Emtb for our Rails. Perhaps you could adapt one to fit your bike?

The missing parts for my winter servicetime from a few posts above have arrived.

Last minute change of mind - I went for the new Schwalbe Albert radial front and rear @ €120 including tax and shipping, instead of the Schwalbe Magic Mary radial. I expect the Albert with its less aggressive tread from shoulder to shoulder fit my elderly less aggressive riding stile better than the MM tread. And after more than 15k km with the MM I just want to try something new.

As this is my first go with tubeless, I needed some additional stuff.

Finally some small parts and tools for the other work I’m planning - new steering head bearings, which I bought in August when Acros had their yearly service sales, and the DT Swiss plug in tool from my rear axle which I lost a while ago.

Now all I’m waiting for is dreadful weather and the right mood to stay put in the basement. :ROFLMAO:

More like £20 but otherwise yep. Ebay have booted the seller off but I've opened a case anyway. They're actualy not terrible, so I'll buy a pair of real ones & see if I get refunded & get to keep the fakes. Could end up win win!

Ordered Alberts for back up tires next summer. Love the Contis but curious to test these. 2.4” is optimum tire IMO for full suspension emtb but because Alberts are so different I went straight into the deep end with these and ordered 2.6`s.

Said in another thread to try something like front 29 psi and rear 31 psi. Must be like fucking concrete.
