What did you buy your ebike this week?

That much stretch?

Surely can't have started with the same number of links?

That is too long by the diameter of a roller, which is 0.3". That would make the chain have a "stretch" of 0.6%. Not too excessive, considering that 0.75% is worn out. But well over the 0.5% that many consider as a good point to replace a chain before it damages the rest of your transmission.

Wintertime is servicetime…
Today an assortment of parts and tools arrived. My tiny workspace in our basement is quickly filling up.
I will renew the outer bearing seals on my Bosch motor and service fork and shock. As this is the first time I will do an air spring rebuild I also needed some of the special tools that Fox requires. Didn’t buy the originals however, but the ones I got look and feel well made and will do the job.

Received a bicycle bit set from Wera a few days ago to go with my torque wrench from them. The extra long 89mm bits are ideal to reach those pesky screws in tight locations.

Still waiting for Black Friday to pull the trigger on new tires. I will go with the new Schwalbe radial Magic Mary front and rear plus everything needed to fit them tubeless for my first time.
Those Wera tools look nice!

I had a KMC chain that measured 0.5 when new!

Sram GX Eagle AXS T-Type Rear Derailleur - 12 Speed for £249 down from £430 from Merlin - unashamedly bought as a 'spare' 🤭

Mrs has one (GX) on her KSL and I have an 'XO' on the Canyon (although it's not being ridden at the moment🤷‍♂️)

Just finished installing a set of Maven brakes. The stealth master cylinder doesn’t play nice with dropper remotes or mode selection switches. Spent half the evening grinding the dropper mount to fit in the tight spot there. Had to keep the lever there or the ergonomics would be 💩

New Linkglide 11-50T 11 speed cassette.

Fitted to my new wheel and hub that I built myself.

New Di2 XT derailleur. Notice the LG (Linkglide) symbol on the clutch housing. This is really important as this confirms this derailleur will give me Autoshift when connected to my EP600 Shimano motor.

I also got the Linkglide chain delivered, so I have everything to do the Linkglide conversion. But as I have quite a bit of riding before Xmas. I might leave it till after Xmas to fit, as things are quite busy at the moment, and I don't want to rush the install, or have EMTB issues.

I will connect the derailleur to the motor and reprogramme the motor, and confirm the shifter shifts, whilst it's laying on the floor. Just so I know I have no other research to do to get the derailleur going.

You should be able to use the SRAM Matchmaker clamp for you dropper. Nice and clean. Let us know how the brakes are, I‘ve considered Mavens.

Put your switch between brake clamp and grip, problem solved!

Muc off are doing a 25% off everything deal. So I bought some Big Bore Hybrid tubeless valves normally £40 for £30. But delivery is only free if you spend more than £30! So I spent time looking for the cheapest thing I could buy that I might actually use that would do the job. I settled on some Silky Suspension Serum, down to £3.74. Delivery charge is normally £3.50.

Total £33.74, but as I was completing the purchase my Norton anti-virus package chipped in with discount codes that it had found. It tried a few before finding "Comeback10" (could be "Comeback 10"). Final total for free delivery was £30.37. So I got the Silky for 36p, less if I took the delivery charge into account.

Let us know how you get on with those valves. Must admit, not sure I want to twist the thingies through 90 degrees to inflate the tyre then back again after inflation.
