What did you buy your ebike this week?

Central Mexico - yes mainly dry dusty like SoCal - but less asphalt and more gravel and cobbles to ride on.
Love Mexico. Worked a few times there ! Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta and the usual, Cancun all the way down to Tulum. Bueno gente y buena comida !
Buen Finde

Some new additions.

Another pair of Flexair pants - amazing deal in Black Friday

MDR-P rotor to replace a warped disc that I’m finding difficult to true (to my OCD level)

Same but different FiveTen Trailcross Mid shoe to go with the Goretex pair I have for when it gets warm next year. Love them - and don’t think I’ll wear the Freerider Pros again.

Just put the third chain on my cassette so will need a new cassette in the future. So bought a Shimano CS-M7100 (SLX) at Merlin Cyles for £57.50 shipped. Anyone's guess if prices rise or fall in the next few months, but seems a pretty good price.

Edit: 10-51, 12 speed.

About the same for the SLX in AUS at the moment.

I just got myself an CS-M8100 for £99 UK equiv

Pair of Ragley Wiser risers. 800x25mm rise

I say a pair cos i bought 2 of them. In CRC Black Friday sale(aka liquidation sale) as they were a fiver(£5) each. Nice new set of risers for a fiver is not to be sniffed at.
In the same sale, I picked up a 27.5" Hope pro5 fortus 35 front wheel for £132 and a set of Nukeproof Neuron evo pedals for a tenner(£10),
Schwalbe Magic Mary 27.5"x2.4" front tyre for the new wheel from Merlin cycles sale for £22.

All in all some good savings.

CS-M8100 about £100 in UK

Wanted M6100 (Deore) cassette but they cost more than M7100!

Currently have an XTR (M9100) cassette with 2,000 miles on it with 2 chains, bought in the depths of Covid when it was all I could get. Current XTR cassette prices are crazy. Don't crash through my gears, always back off slightly on shifts (motorcycle clutchless change habit).

I purchased a new bike rack, and because the new bike is light but it's not light enough because I can't remove the battery.

So I have a good used Saris bike rack if anyone is looking for one?
Battery not removeable ??
Bit of serious design oversight no ?

What happens if the battery goes tits-up or simply needs replaced ?

I would say a lot of the newer bikes have a non-removable battery (without open bike surgery) It makes them lighter and stiffer, I only ever removed the battery on the heckler when it was being transported anyway.

Hard-to-find bearings for the top shock mount on my Cube Stereo (12x21x7mm)
I couldn't get these from local bearings suppliers or from the local bike shop or 99Bikes where I bought the bike. Plaig Bearings was the only internet site in Australia where I could find them.
