I've seen a number of OnOne / PlanetX bikes around and every person I have ever spoken to raves about how great the bikes are. However the bikes rarely follow the latest "fashion" and are often just great bikes.

I'm guessing that description is probably taken from some review they've received and decided to make a lighthearted play on it, most of their descriptions on the website have a little bit of comedy about them, even the names of their bikes over the years have been named a little strangely (Whippet / Space Chicken etc)
