Wondered if is too crazy to do the the West Highland way in two days with a Ebike by a noob. the Plan is departing from Milngavie around noon time so I should arrive at Inversnaid around 4pm. But one of my concerns is the 10kms stretch from Inversnaid to Inverarnan. Can this section be done in 3-4 Hours by a normal fit person? I understand this part is a nightmare and the Ebike need to be Carry most of the time. So how difficult is this?

So My Plan is: Day 1 and 2 most of West Hiland Way ending in Kinlochleven
Day 3 around Glencoe and hiking Ben Nevis finally arrive at Fort Williams
Day 4 and 5 is where I need some help in finding a nice route preferable to end in Edinburgh at night on day 5.
Day 6 Take the Train from Edinburgh in the morning Back to London.

Yes it's too crazy...averaging over 45miles per day on one charge..?
Are you carrying a spare battery..and how much of a noob are you ..?
Just new to ebiking or have you experience of mtb'ing prior to this ..?
If the answer is no then I would take The Barbers advice and do it in more manageable chunks..or gain a little more experience first .
I've ridden parts of it and it's quite a serious undertaking and unless you are built like a tank I wouldn't want to be carrying a heavy ebike for a prolonged period ..
Also ..if I've got this right ..you then want a route to cycle to Edinburgh ?
??..yep crazy alright !

Thanks for the replies guys. I had done a couple of test in trails and in Eco Mode I got about 55 Miles (with about 400 meter Elevation Gain) which is what I planing using most of the time.

I have some experienced doing road biking twice a week about 45Kms each day with 300meter Elevation Gain each ride. EMTB is something relatively new for me. A few week ago I did a section of 70Kms of South Downs way with 1000 Meter Elevation Gain in about 5 1/2 Hours with a gravel bike it was a lot of fun.

I'm mainly worry about carryng the heavy EMTB that 10Km stretch. I know Carrying a Gravel bike would be a lot easier but I think WHW requiere a MTB

I've walked the route a couple of times, the section along the side of Loch Lomond towards Inverarnan would be a nightmare with any bike never mind a 25kg one!!

A guy I used to work with was into mountain climbing and extreme adventures, hiking across Greenland to name one, he tried cycling the WHW and came a cropper on that section. Fell down a gully and was knocked out, suffered quite serious injuries and was completely hidden from the trail. It was only by chance that a hiker heard him groaning and got help. Light was fading and a boat was needed to get to him, admits he thought he was a goner!

Here's my vids of last year's trip, bear in mind the go pro effect tho.
Worst case you could get the train from Fort William.

OK so it would be about 1000 Meter elevation each day I will end second day in Kinlochleven

Hey Thanks for some reason youtube link doesn't work.

There's a ferry from Inversnaid across to the A82 which would cut out the top part of the Loch, I can't remember if the worst parts of the trail are North or South of there though!

Only 735m elevation gain from Kinlochleven to Fort William over 16miles ..so you are looking at closer to an average 40 miles a day with 1200m (nearly 4000ft) of climbing each day ..if you think that's doable good luck to you ( I dont think you have the range .. for what it's worth )

only Ferry I found was at 4:30pm do you think is that one?

4 crossings but looks like there's also one from Rowardennan.

More to show the elevation.
Your gonna have to climb up this shit and your walking most of it before dropping into Kinlochleven, a bad end to the day.
There's a hostel / campsite there.
Not trying to piss o on your chips but forewarned etc.
