Well, I think that's it for me...

No, you’re wrong again. Go back and look at the sign you keep posting. What does the one in the middle say? I know, reading is hard for you right?

Avinox and G4 Specialized are both class 1 and 3 compliant.
that bit in the top corner - does that say over 750W is a motorcycle?
I can't tell because it's been cropped...
if I'm reading the words correctly, wouldn't that mean Avinox 1500W e-bikes are non compliant?

This one that shows yet again that you are NOT riding a Class 1 bike?

That's the one that you want me show for proof. WTF?

Like I don't want to argue with you or the other Avinox diehards, just acknowledge that you are NOT riding a Class 1 bike and that it is in fact illegal on non-motorized trails. Quit pretending otherwise. I KNOW it's a great motor system. I believe you that it is very controllable. I understand it has superior tractability over the Bosch and I don't need to 'just ride one Bro' to believe you as I accept it to be 100% true. It looks GREAT, everyone can see that. None of these are the argument at hand.

When you hurt your knee, did you also hit your head? Seriously, something is wrong with you here. It’s right in front of your face and you still don’t get it.

Euro setting 16mph, class 1, 20 then class 3, 28. Right in the menu. No throttle, not class 2. It’s not hard.

No, that’s continuous, not peak. If it was not compliant, then it wouldn’t be allowed into the US.

Well, you’re one of the few lucky ones. Most of us can’t, regardless of emotional charge (love or hate)towards “Avi” :-)

But here’s the exception, such a new thread already spanning over multiple pages., not having Avi in the title…well the content is a different story… I’m literally bombarded with valuable information, Lol.

All you have shown here is that the Avinox has a Class 1 top speed limit available.

It's still Class 2+ for 2 reasons: 1) it's still over 750 watts, & 2) with the push of a button you can make it Class 3 speeds, which it literally says right on the screen.

IT HAS NO THROTTLE! Class 1 + class 3 doesn’t = class 2. Just because Specialized and Avinox are both class 1 and 3 compliant does not make them class 2! Plz go put your helmet on and put lots of pillows around yourself.

nah it's really not, M2S is at least a 1300W continuous power motor (with the 700W battery for sure) adding 'nominal' doesn't change that reality...
Yes, it does. As has been previously stated numerous times, it will overheat and go into thermal overload if pushed to the limit for a certain period of time. It has already passed US certification and is approved for class 1 & 3 in the US. You and the rest of the anti Avinox bandwagon are not the regulators. You are the Karen’s of the world. Plz just give it a rest, it’s not your job.

I'm on a Heckler SL. Love it. If I was buying tomorrow, I'd probably buy a Vala but would look hard at Avinox because it builds into a lovely looking bike, like the Forbidden, or the upcoming Orbea or any of the other brands we all 'know' are coming but aren't official.

It reminds me of the 90s/00s where forums were full of people arguing about high pivot, single pivot, unified rear triangle linkages and all sorts of weird set ups and then along comes the Horst link and changes everything. It just needs to settle.

Avinox have done something in one generation that Bosch took five. They deserve attention.

Some of the rhetoric is a bit strong though. ;)

I still don't see the correlation between having ridden or not ridden a Class 2+ bike and you not seeing the reality that it's a Class 2+ bike. It goes 28 mph and has double the allowable power at the push of a button. What is so confusing about that? Just because you really like it?

The Avinox is good, VERY good in fact,. It's still a Class 2+ product, and those are not allowed on bike trails full stop. There were a set of rules that decided that up to a certain assistance level e-bikes are close enough to a bicycle to have full access to bike trails, and above that it's a motorcycle.

Doesn't matter how good it is if it's breaking the rules. I don't care if it's possibly quieter, lighter, cheaper, smoother, etc. That's not relevent in the least.
There’s countless use cases where there are no restrictions on bikes or anything else really. It’s saying too much to make a blanket statement like “Class 2+” bikes aren’t allowed on trails.

Especially since there is no such thing as class2+ and our bikes are not class 2.

Exactly what is a "Karen"?

In the USA we use it as a term to describe nosy entitled people that have the need to get up in everyone's business. Imagine a mature woman with lots of time and nothing else to do with her day but complain about things.

Makes me feel quite sad for women named Karen actually.

Imagine a mature woman with lots of time
Just to make clear, no discrimination here. Age /sex doesn't matter... I mean, I can also imagine a young woman with false nails and pumped up things doing exactly the same. It can even be more toxic. Also, a mature man :)

I just checked my pure uphill KOMs. I have 7 right now and my fastest “average” speed is 11.8mph. Idk if all my uphill strava segments in my area are gnarlier than you guys’, but that’s not that fast….

@Suns_PSD that’s why I say to ride one before you bash them sooooo much. You guys think we’re blasting 28mph uphill everywhere and it’s just not true. You’d understand that if you went and demoed one for a day and get why we get annoyed with the hate and constant regulation talk.

I’m a fan of my PL Carbon Pro with the Avinox M1 motor, there I said it!

However with that being said; I am not a fan of zero Avinox specific parts or Amflow specific parts in the USA. I’ve been waiting for the “Amflow Store” or any other link that leads to a place you can purchase parts like a speed sensor, or maybe the Display/CPU. I’m just a little…no A LOT disappointed in the lack of support. I did deal with Amflow via email and they took care of me but it was just a missing crank bolt cap which they took care of. They couldn’t source the cap so they sent me a whole new set of cranks which back then, made me concerned about their inventory 🤔. After 1,700 miles, so far, so good, just hope nothing critical takes a crap because my feeling is the bike will be parked for a while.
