Question for you all, I just had my motor and belt replaced on my 2020 specialized Levo Comp due to motor issues. Specialized sent new motor and belt for free through warranty because Its just under a year old but bike shop it was bought from is charging $300 for labor to swap out old motor with new one. Is labor supposed to be included and does that seem like a fair price?? I mean Bike was basically brand new and i know in the covid world now shops are hurting for $$$. but doesnt seem right!

Might depend on your national consumer laws, but I personally had 3 motor swaps totally free of charge , labour costs completely covered.

Two USA motor swaps on my 2020 Comp and no charge for parts or labor (original owner @ LBS where purchased).

As far as I know, if it's the shop you bought it from labour should be included. If it was a different shop then often they will charge you for their time. In theory, it takes about 1 hour, so even the charge seems a bit high unless their waiting room comes with some none standard additional amenities.

@Specialized Rider Care can you confirm please ?
