Hello everyone hope you’re having a good day so far. So I bit the bullet and fox 36 upgrade for my 2020 Levo, it turned out great!

pls see pics below!

Just wondering about swapping out my Rockshox deluxe rear shock (I think? Bottom pic) with a Fox to match the fork. Maybe a Fox Float DPS Rear Shock 3 Position Evol LV? I like the simple flip lever of the open / firm /medium on the Fox, but no big deal. Just something about the fox stuff I like better…

thanks for answering my questions in other posts maybe I’m creating too many threads I don’t know?

If you do get a DPS, make sure you get a volume spacer kit. I find the dps blows through its travel slightly more and had to run a lot larger volume spacer than I anticipated.

Thanks Dan can you explain this a bit I thought the volume spacer was to limit travel…is that right?

No it helps to prevent bottoming out the shock, if you have the sag set correctly and you find that you bottom out the shock too easily you can install a larger volume spacer and that will provide a greater ramp up on compression.

Oh okay I thought I would just simply add more air pressure. Interesting tuning for sure!

Just a comment if you don't mind, thread trolls can you please go someplace and make replies that are actually revevent and helpful? (Paulquattro)

Nice !!! Yep, I have found that the biggest difference in climbing is 3 position control on the back (the fox or the upgrade for the sram fork), vs the front. But front too on long road hill climbs. Btw, that fox rear shock lockout is firm as heck on the climbs I would go with that before the RSX. Which is too bad. Back in the day and still on one of my acoustics I have a revelation that has height adjustment and a super firm lockout like my old reba's used to.
