Unno Mith released with DJI motor, 800Wh battery

So I saw this bike in the flesh at Sea Otter at the last seconds (literally) before Ride Wrap tore down there booth on Sunday afternoon. I was expecting to have more time look it over and discuss it, but event runners unceremoniously required vendors to tear down there booths at 2pm sharp, this time around, and so I went scrambling to get to the essential booths before the carriages turned into pumpkins. With only seconds at hand for a "flash assessment", it's as striking in person, if not more, than in the pictures. The design does a good job at hiding its complexity at first glance, with nearly all of it concentrated in one spot on the bike. Here are some closeups of this spot:

The mud flap appears to be absolutely essential.

Wheel clearance this tight and this is a mullet. PNW folks who root in mud need to do a bit more research here.

I did the lift test and it felt light and analog-ish. No time to throw a leg over it and assess the rider placement.

How is the tube with 800W battery so much slimmer than anything else out there, it looks less wide from top than majority of SL bikes (some of which only appear svelte from side, like Orbea for example).
This is unreal profile.
It looks more SL than most actual SL bikes. Crazy.

Pure cheating bike :- D ! Previously you had to be at least ashamed by the fat pig under you to enjoy that power and mileage.

That’s what the Chinese bring, superior battery (density, size) technology. Maybe being non-removable saves a little space as well.

Ideal scenario: Bosch motor with the 800 DJI battery. Spesh and Bosch kinda blew it with the pregnant whale 800 batteries.

That rear tyre clearance would pretty much be a no-go for me for 90% of the year!

Just a perspective... If you have a bike that has front wheel traction issues, short stems will exasperate this quality and a long stem will improve this condition, a lot. As will differences in Front end length vs Rear end length. Worth noting that the review tested the S2 and had front end traction issues, it'll almost certainly be an even larger issue on an S3 since the rear end length remains the same and the front grows so much.

The last thing to consider is that Works connection sells these very handy little 5mm Reach adjust headsets for nearly any bike made so utilizing one of these can often Plus or Minus 5mm of reach on nearly anything. Which is handy for closing up huge sizing gaps.

So at least consider this in your sizing equation.

Cesar Rojo has always been a proponent of very short stems, so I'd be very curious what size stem the Mith had on it. Adding 15mm of stem length, from say a 30mm (standard on Mondrakers) to a 45mm, is a different world as far as front end traction goes.

Unfortunately, long stems begin to feel very awkward and require a lot of excessive movement. I consider 45mm the upper end for an enduro bike with wide bars and about 60mm the upper end on a XC bike with narrow bars. Long stems are sort of like steering one of those old fashioned motor boats where you steer them with the long stick in the back. The longer the stick (or stem in our case) the wider and larger the movements you have to make to turn the engine (or front wheel in our case)

GL
The MITH has a 42mm One up stem on both Versions.

Wow . Only 25 bikes coming to the UK.

UNNO only ordered 400 Dji Avinox motors.
Motors was ordered before Amflow came out.

Safe to say they will be ordering more as they didn’t expect the demand. This is not my information.

This was by someone who had only 1 coming to there shop.

More info here.

DJI only gave them 400 Motors, AMflow have ordered 27000 of them.

Hope DJI doesn't reconsider and won't go exclusive. Amflow is nice but this is quite something else.
I do wish UNNO that this will be finally a breakthrough hit for them.

I wonder when Canyon/YT will consider picking this up. I wonder if they regret Fazua.

Damn that bike is sexy. Their Website says its in Stock and delivery within 1 week. I'm in Switzerland and there's a dealer about 1hr away from me. They will get some bikes in june.
Can't wait to see Rob's Review.. maybe I'll try to preorder one at said dealer in the next couple of days.
Since there are no amflow Dealers in Switzerland, I'm worried about warranty and Motor failures. There is no experience so far and I've been a beta tester for fazua over the last 2 yrs..
That might well kill the bike for me.. but it's so damn sexy. Have I said that before? Sorry.. 🤤

27,000 to 400 is a big gap.

If it gets good reviews then I can see a bit of scalping going on.

Glad im waiting a year or more.
400 is more than the Crestline 150 E bikes per year.

It's a boutique brand. The price is high and production volume low!

I'm in switzerland too. I dont understand, why the website says that the bikes is available from stock and should be shipped within a week workdays, but the dealer will have it only in june??
I am a little bit concerned with the e-mountainbike review. I ride a Levo since six years, and now is the time for an upgrade ;)

I just called one of the Shops in Switzerland. They get a lot of calls and Mails but have no preorders yet. People wanna see the bike first. He has a list of interested people and gets back to them as soon as he has new Information.
First batch will arrive in june (7 pieces), 2nd in August, another one in November. 2026 bikes will be coming too, he said. So unno will get new motors I guess, since people are crazy about the bike.

Not many bikes here in UK. About to place a small deposit on an August S2, subject to the size working for me. Love the DJI motor, and battery system. Don’t see anything better BATT and Motor Combo coming out in next 3 years, would love another S works having had 5, but just can’t get past how bad this new Gen 4 one looks no matter how well it rides. At 12.5k it needs to tick all the box’s.

Yeah, about what I think. The sworks colours are sick. But the fat, ugly downtube and prices are crazy. Also I don't like the new bullit. Canyon is having problems. Only a Propain would be nice because of their configurator and prices. But the bike is fat and heavy too..

Amflow have form for taking the market leader and essentially copying it (but make it better - MX or 29”) so I wouldn’t put it past them to make an Enduro offering that closely resembles the UNNO.

I didn’t feel the EMTB Mag review gave any real insight of the bike at all.

I was worried about the S2 being too small for me at 180cm but having seen the geometry numbers on the previous S2 Mith and the Ikki along either the comment on size in the Pinkbike first look it tallies the 460 reach should be ok for me.

Guess we’ll find out in June when it arrives 😉

Just had a look on the Brink website - they are now saying delivery in January 2026!
Yes, pretty much sold out 3 days after they were announced in the UK. There’s 3 drops this year, June, August and September.

I guess you could drive to Barcelona for a long weekend and pick one up while you’re there if they have stock in Europe.

I have one ordered direct from Unno, Delivery in June, the UK dealers will not have stock of S3 Pro until October or later (apparently) the comments around the no of motors seem to be true, I have a confirmation that I will get mine by June (direct from Unno), fingers crossed.

It is a stunning bike, I sold my Amflow and this has those missing pieces of slightly better travel and the uprated suspension. The Amflow is the best bike I have ever had, this should raise the bar again

I hope Rob is going to review it, that will be worth watching.

In for a nice import tax and vat bill if you're in the UK 😅

think it maybe the S Works Levo then... 🤷‍♂️ just can't get my head around that price tag

Same here, have ordered an S2 Pro as they come big 6.0ft should be Ok. Aug Delivery. Agree on the Amflow love mine, this Unno just ticks a few more boxs, i hope.

In the EMTB Mag article, this passage has me wondering:

At high speeds, the Mith requires more rider input to change direction, but rewards you with direct feedback, momentum, and a lively ride feel. Once you understand its character, the bike invites you to push harder – and pushes you in return. It’s a fun-loving beast for experienced riders looking for a fast machine that makes even the gnarliest trails feel manageable.

The playful bikes I had that I describe as "direct feedback/lively ride feel" have always been easy to move around?

I think "a fun-loving beast" is what I am looking for. But the way they describe it, I am not sure exactly what they mean. Is it unforgiving? The thing I look for is really a fun-loving beast that has some reserves and therefore is forgiving when I misjudge some compression and charge too fast and too hard into something?

To elaborate, I have had a 140mm rear travel bike that was very fun, but the bike and I would run out of talent at the exact same time and place, so I had 100% of my crashes over a year on that bike. My other bike with more travel, which I took to more extreme terrain I basically never crashed on, unless you count a slow-speed, awkward laydown or two.
I prefer not to crash...

You will need to actively weight the front in flat corners.
