Hello,
I have a 2023 Specialized Turbo Levo Comp. I have this noise coming from the rear that nobody can figure out. It’s not metallic but almost a bushing squeak or “squish” creak sound. Please listen to the sound file below. The bike just got back from a bike shop where everything was adjusted and chain cleaned and lubricated. I have regreased the pedals and threads as well.
This noise happens when I am peddling. When I coast, there is no noise. The shifting is perfect. There is no grinding or any type of sound like that or vibration through the bike when I’m peddling in the noise is happening. I’m starting to think that it possibly can be the spokes pinging and rubbing under stress if that is possible. I’m not light. I’m about 240 pounds so I know the 1200 miles I have on this on off-road trails may have taken a toll on some parts. The bottom bracket is quiet when peddling it’s coming from the rear tire area. Has anyone with this bike or other bike similar had this same type of situation? Thanks for ANY input.

I was hoping to be able to post a video with the sound, but this form won’t let me.
Just click the three dots on the right and click the little camera icon :

Not sure the sound file in your edit helps because you cant' tell if it's in time with your pedalling or if the bike is moving.

Video's normally attach. MP4 and others. Sounds a bit like the chain guide rubbing, but without a better video it's hard to tell. Does it do it when you have the bike on a stand/hung of something, or only when riding ?

Lose spoke, worn bearing, ball of gunk in the tyre.

Thanks for the response. It only happens when I’m pedaling under load. I’m not using any battery. New tires and sealant. I’ll try to convert To mp4 and see if it will load. It clears the chain guide. It doesn’t affect anything ride wise, it’s just embarrassing when people look back at me squeaking 100 feet behind them. Ha

I’m thinking spokes rubbing under torque with each other where they cross on the rear wheel maybe?

I have had a similar clicking "once per revolution" on my 2024 Turbo Levo 3 front wheel. Upshot after a lot of swapping new and older tyres back and forth is that Specialized are replacing the rim because they have had similar issues. No apparent defect in the rim or the tyre and they say it's not unsafe! My dealer has had another rear wheel with this issue

The other aspect of investigations showed that the problem went away with higher tyre pressure. So there at 18psi, but gone by 26-30psi. Might be worth investigating that?

Thanks for the reply. I took it out yesterday for a 2 hour bike path ride to listen. No sounds for the first half hour, then it happened again for 20 minutes straight, then completely disappeared. I really think it’s a rear rim issue as it sounds like the spokes rubbing and clinking under the stress of pedaling. I actually dry lubed where the spokes cross. I’ve ruled out bottom bracket and rear hub as it’s an occasional sound that comes and goes.

Thanks. I starting to think it’s the rear wheel as well.

Thanks. I actually removed the guide but it’s still there. The strange thing is it’s just as loud easy pedaling or pedaling hard. Smooth and quiet when not pedaling. The sound is definitely coming from the rear wheel area of the bike on the cassette side. Always there no mater which gear I’m in as well. Frustrating

UPDATE. Specialized is replacing the motor. There are several videos on the internet at various places showing this exact issue. It seems the 2023 Turbo Levo motor has internal issues. Some die after 1000 miles. I guess some riders have replaced several motors under warranty.
