Think its because other motor brands don't release this info so it subliminally more powerful (even though it may not be in reality). Not 100% just guessing.

This bike is far from the same. Reach numbers are significantly longer and the sweet spot for the HA will be 64-64.5. Having switched between the 2020 Levo and 2021 SJ Evo, there is no comparison to how the bikes ride. The 2020 is closer to a classic Trail geometry while the 2021 is pushing the boundaries on the next generation setups. The new Levo is going to absolutely RIP and once people ride them back to back their minds are going to be blown on how capable the new setup is on every trail.

They should all post torque vs. RPM curves. Power is just a function of that.. Kinda funny that they all still have to play by the 250w "rule". Not even sure what that means - must be nominal?
 
What's interesting is that this type of change pretty much ends the possibility of head-to-head eMTB racing across multiple brands. We'll have to get to "spec racing" (pun intended) with identical bikes.

250W is continous power, the max power the motor can sustain without overheating. Peak power can only be reached for a limited period of time, maybe just seconds so it is not that interesting imho.

EDIT: BTW, I think in the US you actually use "nominal power" which is a fuzzy way of specifying the power of the motor.
