Guys, I'm about to go to a DHX2. My total riding weight with kit is ~210lbs. It looks like the ideal spring rate would be 450 based on the calculators.

If you are running a coil shock, can you post your total rider weight and spring rate you are using? I'm going to go with the DHX2 230x65 and run the minnow link in high. Is anyone else around the 200lb mark and what spring are you using?

$130 for a spring is steep, I'd be hesitant too. Just make sure the people who respond are also running 65mm stroked DHX2 shocks. On the shorter strokes, the spring weights ramp up faster. so springs used aren't directly comparable....stock stroke vs. 65mm is about a 50lb difference on the calculator, and different shocks aren't necessarily comparable either, plus riding style. etc.

The spring rate is the same regardless of stroke unless you forgot to increase the travel when you put the longer stroke in the calculator.

Richie are you using 57.5mm stock travel? I ordered a 450 spring for 65mm travel. The shock and spring are here. I'm now into day 10 waiting on the mounting bolts comíng from my lbs.

Once I try the 450 spring I might buy a springdex. If 450 isn't dead nuts on I'll go for a new springdex in the range around what works out best.

Using a 450lb Fox SLS spring with a 2022 DHX2 and 230mm x 65mm stroke I'm at 36% sag. I see on the TFtuned calculated is says ebikes should add in motor and battery weight. I think I should have used total rider weight ~230lbs instead of 210. I'm ordering a 500-550 sprindex now. First impressions of the coil feels like the rear tire is soft although pressure is normal. It's definitely planted, just needs setup properly.
