Trek Rail 8+ rear shock

Hi,
Wondering if anyone else has this bike and finds the rear shock a bit lacking in compression damping?
It’s a Rockshox super deluxe with lock out and rebound adjustment.

I’ve been getting a daft number of pedal strikes.
Sag is at 30% at the most.
I’ve bent one crank arm, replaced the original 165 with 155mm, and still wrote off a crank arm.
I seem to get pedal strikes even when nearly level and not pedalling.

We have one of these and havnt hit the cranks on anything? nearing 3000kms
Personally I Time pedal strokes properly so Theres no need to smash the cranks or pedals into things

Ta, I’ve tried the higher setting, it just doesn’t ride as well.
I have the shock in the progressive
My analog Bird Aeris 9 is pretty low, never had a pedal strike.

Try running sag in the 22-25% range and see if that helps

I have actually had the quad seal blow on the shock shortly before it was due an air can service.
I think I’ll double check it.
I can’t remember if the shock comes with volume reduction spacers installed. The bag that came with bike had fork tokens.
