It's right by my house and I used to eat there very often

It's called “Les Lindarets”, but it's become so touristy that access by car is now limited, and you can only get there on foot or by bike.

🍻
Lucky you staying there . We had a Chrystal Active holiday in Les Gets we could use their bikes for free. I hired a Kona Stab one day and did the downhill courses as well . Long before the ebike was invented . Via Ferrata ,canyoning , rafting what a week that was.

In Northern Ca, its just tons of Cougars, Rattlesnakes, bobcats, and brown bears. Cougars do not eat many people here, just a few. Rattlesnakes get ran over more then biting bikers. Babcats run, and so do bears if you chase them.

I rode at our local forest trails a couple of weeks ago really early. (Really early for me).
A family of deer came bounding out of the bush and crossed the trail in front of me, about 20m away.
It was one of the rare moments I didn't have a camera with me other than my phone, which was useless to me by the time I got it out.
Big Buck, Doe and two small fawns all in a row - Buck giving me "the eye" as they crossed the trail.

Considering how busy those trails get, I was very surprised.

Ah ha . Found some ....

Just for you pal.Just add more tatties if you like it thicker . Worth trying it with less fresh milk but also add Carnation milk or something similar it's very popular. 3 pints is a lot trial and error. Very easily made. Getting smoked haddock be hard for you maybe. Enjoy

I met this family on my way to work this morning. They live by a small lake. Mum and dad tried to scare me away while the kids made quite happy noises. Apologies for the low quality, I didn't want to go too close to avoid scaring them off.

A relative of ours had 13 small ones a few weeks ago. Great video but sadly an otter got the lot.

Passed these cows and decided to double back for a pic. When I lifted bike back on to road thought there was play in headset. Turned out that quick release was well loose , could have been nasty. No first aid kit today as I was on the touring bike.
