Tow bar bike carrier.

Ahh thanks for this which model did you go for? Looks like buzz rack is the way forward. I’ve always had Thule roof bike carriers and they work great . I messaged Thule regarding the easy fold xt and they recommended the epos version at like £1k🤣
Or a lightly used easyfold XT at a great price ;)

I’ve just been looking it states it requires 65mm between the towbar and bumper how much room do you have on your car? Mine is 55mm between the ball and the bumper could you look please . Thanks
Mine is about 65mm. Can't say I ever thought about the clearance.

Morning in the market for a tow bar bike carrier.
It’s to carry a light e-bike transition relay .ideally a 3 bike carrier .
I’ve read the Thule xt doesn’t fit al e bikes which I find bizzare as it’s a bike carrier.Anybody give some insight please thanks
excellent bike rack for two bikes, i have been using it for several years now.

We use an Atera DL3 tilting carrier for our ebikes, it carries our 2 bikes without batteries. As we have a camper van it tilts enough to open both rear doors, it also allows us to open the boot when used on our car.
We have had it for 7 years and 50,000 miles all over Europe.
We also use a Taylor Made cycle cover.

Hi.
I carry 2 eBikes Focus Sam² 6.⁸ on a french made bike carrier sold by Norauto.pt.
Excelent material and fits very well a 29in bike x 2

With two Trek Rails (Medium and Large) on my Buzzrack e-Scorpion 2, for example?

Just purchased the eScopion 1. Sick of luggng and storing the Yakima Foldckick 3. Also predominantly only carrying my bike these days.
The Scorpion is easy to manage, even with a broken arm... there ain't much riding happening for me for the next 8-10 weeks 🤕😭
Do you use the supplied strap to secure the bikes? There is no easy way I to get the strap on the way they show, it's too short.
My main complaint is the number plate holder is a PITA to get off when putting it away.

That's a bugger about your broken arm ...

Modified the carrier to make it easy to get the plate holder on and off. Then cut a horizontal slot at the top of the plate holder to run a (thin) 20mm clamp strap through it and around the carrier sticky outy bit to hold it in place.

When the carrier is folded use the strap to hang the plate off one side.

That long red strap that you wind around the frame. My old bike isn't huge but the strap struggles for length.
Oh - I don't bother using one of those ratchet straps.
You could easily but a longer one or connect 2 together if you need to use it.

I just fix a pedal (or crank) to the main rack upright as a safety measure. I use one of those strong reusable zip tie type straps.

I’d like to thankyou all for commenting on my post on bike carriers. I know posts had been done before but didn’t contain the information I wanted.
After much consideration and research after reading everyone’s views I decided to buy the buzz rack scorpion pro 2.

I ordered it yesterday and turned up today so great service by the roof box company.
I’ve got it out tonight and over the moon with the carrier. I was a little concerned as I’ve always used Thule stuff for roof bike carriers and they just work but this buzz rack is brilliant and for the cost I thinks it’s incredible .
Was looking at the scorpion lite but glad I went for the pro it’s a top bit of kit . Thanks .
