NOTE: The drawers on the top chest won’t open unless the lid is up.
if the mechanism is like most other tool chests, opening the lid and then opening all the drawers (just a little bit) and then closing the lid should allow the drawers to be opened/closed with the lid down.

Mine is much more ‘old blokes shed’, and represents just a vague attempt at organising a hotchpotch of tool chests I’ve acquired over the years. It’s on top of a very solid workbench that a work colleagues father made, and is older than me, but the boxes have at least given me somewhere to stick all my stickers! :ROFLMAO:

I do like the look of some of your fancy workshops though, maybe one day if we move and there’s a nice clean space to stick some new units...

I may have gone overboard here but this has turned into the neighborhood hangout for eMTB.

The roller cabinet holds lots of bike stuff and tools (72”). I like it because I can clean behind or move it out to the middle of the garage. I picked mine up at Home Depot several years ago. Magnetic paper towel holder too. ?

that's enough to make me move to BC.

Those cabinets are the poodles pouches but its hard to beat pile of free second and timber and sheets of 3/4 ply bike stand socket is in the wrong place got my calcs. wrong when I poured the floor didn’t allow for to offset at the top clamp and I also built the bench 300mm wider than originally planned ?‍♂️I’ll get round to moving it over nearer the back wall to make more space at the bench

Mine was also damaged on delivery. They never bothered to collect the damaged top section so now I have 2. (y)
That implies they sent you a new top section.
I offered to swap the bottom section if they sent me one.
They offered a 10% refund to keep the whole thing, or a swap out.
They wouldn't budge, so I went for the swap out.

They did indeed send me a top section. They then failed to complete collection on at least 4 separate occasions (I lost count and it was 3 years ago) so I gave up and kept it.

@CBSTD I thought my garage was crowded, but you have mine beat!
But yours is much better organised. I follow the open-cast storage system.
Ye it’s a bit busy in there just now there’s garden furniture and a single seat out the van, and various boxes of stuff just dumped , opencast storage .......brilliant ???

Oh yeah, certainly looks like it. I wonder how much the SGS stuff will be?

A thread very close to my heart....knocked the side of the house off years ago, had a garage built and then weighed up the pro’s and con’s of kit and tool storage, too this day remember walking into a small local kitchen fitters and said...’You that know those kitchen cupboards you can’t sell’ to my astonishment he said YES...and the roll box’s are on top of the work surface, instead of bending down all the time.

But had to smile at the motorcycle connection...oh yes i’m there alright.

Kitchen showrooms always sell off their ex display units, and there are also companies that specialise in selling them, along with second hand kitchens - quite a good source of cheapish units.

Self made one, here is a spectralon, packed inside the blue bikebag (also selfmade) it weighted 23 kilos at checkin:

The bike I left in France packed lighter, but not as much as the stumpy, wich would go with all my riding gear and tools inside the bag with less than 23kg:

And the light weight bike we could afford

Great to see all the workshops / caves that you guys have.

I ordered a couple of the SGS chests, will post pics when they arrive / setup.

Not at all related, but I thought I'd check alibaba to make sure you hadn't ordered the wrong type of SGS Chest (The type that bambam would order for the ladies) .. it's amazing how many Implants there are on there ! Just how many budding DIY neurosurgeons are out there ?

I can see I'm going to have to pull my socks up. In my defence, all those tools get dirty on a regular basis, honest chief.
