If it means I don't lose any days on the bike I'm happy to pay it, although I think the correct action at this point is start a pointless rant about how it cost as much as a car so I should be able to take it to any dealer, get it done for free, and get a courtesy bike and a massage from the owner's wife to boot...

If I went to the shop I bought it from it would all be free. As I'm considering going somewhere else I'm happy to pay a nominal fee for their time.
