YT going into restructuring has absolutely screwed their EU customers, as during restructuring the customer is treated as a creditor, which means they will only eventually get whatever the receivership agrees as the final "price" of the debt, often like 60% or 70% on the dollar ( so to speak). So not only do you not get your bike, you get maybe 50% of your money back, maybe, and a long time from now. How anybody could ethically promote YT at the moment is beyond me EMTB.The direct-to-customer brand YT was among the first players in the emtb field. The original Decoy was well priced, and it had modern frame geometry that still holds up today. The new YT Decoy is very different to the old model. The most noticeable differences are the change from Shimano to Bosch motor, bigger battery and increased fork travel. Read more ...
Isn’t YT undergoing “restructuring” at present time with a pause in order shipments?Saw it yesterday on yt Stand at ard rock. They don't have any stock yet but they will take orders ?
They updated the graphics across the full range fairly recently so the stealth option is available to all nowRenthal did a limited edition stealth version of the bars a little while ago.

A lot seem to be fixed these days, i do feel manufacturers are going backwards. Weight saving? I still think specialized nailed this years ago with the gen2 levo battery design. The non removable 800 Wh battery is a bold move curious how that’ll impact longer trips without the option for a quick swap or extender.
Second request for the story. I would like to think that the community that makes a brand successful would not be abandoned. I understand that protection from creditors is key to restructuring a failing business. But I see expensive ad's and promotions that may not be as effective as supporting the people that actually are the "Core" going forward. Making them whole would be a huge confidence boost for the brand. What did they do to gwinn

The flowery marketing hype from the CEO falls flat in reality realizing that chasing new customers is more important than supporting the folks that are responsible for the good will of the company are being thrown under the bus.
I received an email from YT that my bike, ordered in june, will be delivered. The only caveat is that I can not return the bike within 14 days. So I think it is going in the right direction. Any other buyers received this email?Looks good but I wouldn't be risking a buy. Look at the pole. Never heard how many people lost money on that
I was/am in the same situation. But I received an email that my bike will be delivered. The 14 day return option is not applicable. As someone who bought a bike during thier recent sale I really take issue with this article. You are promoting YT and not taking the side of the consumer. Currently you cannot even do a normal 14 day return with an unridden bike. And thier customer service is really slow and unresponsive. This is not a company you can promote without many caviats in your article I feel like. This is not my first rodeo, I dont think they will survive
That’s amazing news! Glad to see them at least trying to make things right.I received an email from YT that my bike, ordered in june, will be delivered. It doesn’t work like that though in the world of legal.I would expect them before taking any orders on the new Decoy (or any bike for that matter) to
explain what is the status of the restruction. Did they find any money (partner,investor,loan...) to secure their future?
Anyone here heard anything ?
Not everything needs to relate to laws/legality in cases like that.It doesn’t work like that though in the world of legal.
For who?, the core group that represent the good will of the brand who buy the product aka customers... here we go again.Looks like the future is still a bit uncertain.
No, in the USA they have no problems, in Europe they continue their service. I don't foresee problems with my frame, build like a tank. The rest is servable everywhere. So in case my frame breaks I think they will ship it over from the USA or from the manufacturer.A small question if it's ok, Aren't you afraid you'll be left alone with a frame without service in case they can't continue ?
If the US entity is entirely separate would they have a warranty obligation to customers who bought from a completely different company? So in case my frame breaks I think they will ship it over from the USA or from the manufacturer.
I do not think YT Europe will end. They have a strong brand and their bikes are proven good. They will survive. The frame is solid and build for 5 years so I do not think there will be a problem. Battery 1 year warranty and the other components 2 years. With all my bikes I never had a problem, only with Niner and that was a construction failure. If the US entity is entirely separate would they have a warranty obligation to customers who bought from a completely different company?
