SyncDrive Pro loud knocking noise under load

Hi everyone,

New to the forum and new to Ebikes.

Loving my 2019 Trance E+3 although due to COVID-19 lockdowns I’ve only been able to do 800km so far since new

Yesterday on a 30km ride it developed a loud clanking noise under torque only.

Noise doesn’t surface with the motor off. I’ll be going to the dealer once our travel bans lift.. but thought I’d post it up in case anyone has the same issue or knows what it might be.

I’ll attempt to add a couple of videos below.. hope it works.

Local dealer called today, motor being replaced by Giant under warranty

My 2020 reign e did that for about 1 second then i think the gears all piled up. the little red light came on and the motor needs replacing according to my dealer. i have just under 4000 km on it, all off road
