Hey’s it’s that time again out here when freezing temps are the norm.
Which creates a problem when there is no snow cover. During the day the lower elevations thaw enough to create muddy conditions but as you climb the ground becomes frozen and super slippery. I hesitate to ride studded tires on rocks n mud , usually the studs fly out like a machine gun on rocky surfaces. Plus studs on rocks are dangerously slippery, yet without them the frozen icy ground is crazy as well !
i have tried using non studded tires and they slip n slide badly. So what are you guys doing to deal with this kind of situation ?
