Despite using the right Torx + socket I have manged to round off two of the motor mounting bolts drive side trying to drop the motor to route a new brake hose through

They were well and truly seized , steel going into alloy and they seem softer than Keir Starmer on Peter Mandelson

Any ideas on getting them out , what do use

And yes i am blaming the tools , fixings and bike , not my cack handiness :)

Cheers

Probably a bit of galvanic corrosion going on.

Is the Torx head proud, can you carefully cut a slot in it then use a big flat screwdriver or head to get it out?

Have you tried a slightly bigger torx bit, or even a similar size hex head hammered gently into place?

Wera Torx wrenches have a unique shape that helps with situations like this. Or you can take a larger Torx bit and taper it slightly on a grinder, then hammer it in and remove the bolt.
