I suppose there could be a number of reasons for that. I don’t understand it either …but I have a theoryso i measured my xx chain today after 700km with the abbey tool. still at 0.25% wear. i really don't know how badly you people must treat your bike if you wear down your drivetrains like that
Location, terrain, component quality, dust, sand, mud, loam, riding behaviour, operator abuse, and bad luck.
I think my drivetrain components last an average amount of time. Plus I may clean and maintain those components on a regular basis, or if things don’t sound or feel right.
