Here the Pros seem to dig the G4 - yes I know it is marketing but fun to watch.
Axell has his own video from the Temecula shoot. No music so super fun to hear those guys rip it up ... braapp!

yes the new bike seems slightly smaller to me and it feels better cornerning. The gen 3 chainstay is longer but feels the same as the short gen 4 so dont let the numbers hang you up.I’m going for S5 this time, my gen3 is S4 and it’s always from new being that bit too small (I’m 183cm)
I rode an S4 and S5 gen4 and the new S4 felt a fair bit shorter than my current bike and the new S5 felt perfect, I plan on running it in the long chainstays.
Yeah just hosing a extra lb of mud off for my kid, felt stupid after, but i did find a problem for sure.Life hack: never spray your ebike with water and don't have issues with stuff like that. They are just not hermetically sealed to water ingress. Doing so would drive costs, weight up and range down.
Don't be anxious about having a dirty bike that works.
Its better because it corners better. yes its heavy but not a deal breaker. short chainstay is fine.My attention span is short, could someone provide a summary?
Thanks! Its better because it corners better. yes its heavy but not a deal breaker. short chainstay is fine.
XT brakes?
The gen 3 was cca 1kg more than the carbon version.Do we know what the weight premium will be on the alloy version?
So running this Levo with long chainstays, does this not lower (and therefore slacken it slightly) as it did in Gen 3?
I know there’s a separate setting on the shock yoke that will lower it, but I’m looking at the bikes I don’t see how those chainstays can lengthen without it dropping the bike at all
I pick my Pro up in about 2 weeks!

I posted some info from review few pages back, it looks like with longer chainstay BB height is even lower than should be.I’ve managed to answer my own question with this looking through the workshop manual.
It seems the long setting lengthens the chainstays by 11mm to 446mm
As thought, it does lower the BB by 12mm to 338mm
It slackens it off a fair bit too…
That will be the perfect setting for me.

''In the middle headset setting, low bottom bracket position and long chainstay, I measured my S3 bike's geometry as follows:
The latter is interesting because it is significantly lower than that quoted by Specialized.''
- Head angle: 63.7-degrees
- Rear centre: 445mm
- Bottom bracket height: 333mm
Surely this would only apply to US customers? I don't see why the rest of us should pay? Would be a shitty move if they do apply it across the board. So has it been confirmed the 10% price increase for orders after 1st may? Pinkbike seems to think so.
The article clearly says increases are North America only.Surely this would only apply to US customers? I don't see why the rest of us should pay? Would be a shitty move if they do apply it across the board.
Schwalbe tyres?XT brakes?

Subtitles or transfer the video to chat GPT and ask it to translate it in to English. All you need to do is copy the YouTube link and askThey are talking funny. Can’t understand it.

I agree. Honestly with the 700wh battery of the gen3 I never got a full discharge after a single ride. On longer and higher elevation rides (in Dolomite in Italy) I come back home with at least 20/25%, if not more. The biggest flaw of the implementation is that every buyer is forced to buy the 840wh battery. Even light/fit riders or people who only have not much elevation/time.
If the 600wh would be optional with a discount for first buyers the bike would be considerably lighter and overall a more competitive package.
I could see this being an option when the battery is released. I wouldn’t be surprised if the all version also came with 600 wh battery due to the cost and weight of the alloy. The biggest flaw of the implementation is that every buyer is forced to buy the 840wh battery. And it will definitely be that way.I could see this being an option when the battery is released. I wouldn’t be surprised if the all version also came with 600 wh battery due to the cost and weight of the alloy.
