Specialised Levo Comp 2020. More front travel?

I have ordered Fox 36 grip 2 with 160mm travel. Can up it to 180mm.
Was told the bike might feel floppy. Anyone done it?

The standard Rock shocks bottom out so bad i am concerned 160 will not be enough?

Plenty of travel, even on Jumplines.

Going to 180mm will significantly change the bike geometry, it will also void the warranty (max. front travel is 160mm).

If your sag is set properly, then you need to add more bottomless tokens to prevent bottoming out ....

I changed a Yeti SB5C from 140mm to 170mm and it made the bike a downhill weapon. Very stable on steep fast downs, much much better than the stock set up. The climbing ability was wrecked though ?‍

If its any help I'm changing the airshaft on my new 2020 Levo Expert to 160mm and flipping the switch chip to low to slacken off the bike. I ultimately want a bike that is more enduro but not as enduro'ey as the Kenevo so this seemed like a good compromise.

Noob here. I didn't realise you could upgrade the 2020 expert fox fork travel by changing the airshaft. Thats fantastic and I'm guessing much cheaper than buying a new fork?
Any chance you could post a link to the correct part please?

The bike shop is doing it for me so not 100% on the part number. I'm hoping it will be in stock next week as Fox have them on back order. I'll ask them when I see them for you ?

Yeh, its £40 for an airshaft / a grand for a fork!

I was pretty impressed with the Lyrik, I put another 2 spacers in the fork (4 total IIRC) and 100psi and it rarely bottoms out, im 100kg

Sorry its taken me to long to reply with the part details - took Fox over a month to ship it!

This is what it says on the 160mm airshaft bag (this has been fitted by Berkshire Bikes to my Levo in about 20mins!)

My shop called me today to tell me they have my Fox float 38 160mm. I askedif they had the Ebike version to suit the Levo comp.
They said no, but there is hardly any difference. Should i be concerned or not guys?
