Should Range Extender show up on Etube App?

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately my battery is not showing up. I recently replaced the cable (making sure to get the correct one for the 2022 H20 I have, 225mm Gen1/2 XA860000). When plugged in to the frame, and I start the bike up, it gives a blue wave sequence on the battery pack lights. This sequence is a like a mexican wave from left to right, it does this twice. I hope that is normal. I cannot find any list of Range Extender Error Codes anywhere in the manual.
The range extender does not seem to be adding any power to the overall sum of power available to the bike. E.g. The frame battery is on 4 bars without the fully charged extender plugged in, and when I plug the fully charged Extender in, it remains on 4 bars power.
I read on this forum that the Extender should be used first, if this was the case I would see 5 bars on the E-7000 display on the bike, but I only see 4... if that makes sense?
I suspect there is dirt in the charging port, as last night when messing around trying to get it to work... at one stage the bike wouldn't power up with the extender plugged into the frame, until I blew hard into the charging port, then it powered up ok.
It would seem that perhaps all the male pins aren't making contact with their female receptors, and maybe one of these is to do with the Bluetooth or something, dunno?
It would be great if I could troubleshoot the Range Extender on its own out of the bike. I might need to bring it to the shop to do a diagnostic report on it or something. Doh.

I'd recommend going to a shop for a proper diagnostic.
At a minimum clean the charging port thoroughly, but best move is the shop. Good luck

E-Tube Ride or E-Tube Project?
If the range extender is connected to the bike (plugged into) then it SHOULD be visible in etube
Maybe it depends on the year but this was not the case on my 2023 M-Team. E-Tube Project only showed the internal battery. The app behavior with the range extender was to show 100%-60% SOC and, once it switched to the internal battery, it would show 100% SOC again and go down from there but the icons always looked like one single batter.

This seems to be one of several areas that Orbea information seems to be lacking; It would be great to see what the error code lighting sequences are, also how to reset the BMS (It can be long pressed to reset, but I suspect there's more things the user can do too), also the etube app should have a cable testing feature or battery testing feature. It's just a bit of coding I presume. And a bit of up to date literature would be nice, considering the astronomical cost of the cable and extender.

Just getting back to this thread to say that the new cable was actually working: Bike utilises range extender now (also tried a friend's extender and cable too). Only thing that was confusing was the power bar readout on the e7000 display shows no change when attaching a range extender, during power off/on. Man, how hard would it be to release new firmware with two battery displays on the e7000 screen? The current readout is absolute confusing pants. They should update it to have a percentage left in each battery too. I have the Garmin Toolbox in my Fenix, that's the only way to see percentage left currently.

Also range extender still doesn't show on the etube app. Which must also be pants.

Regards,

While I agree with you it's not the best implementation, I will say Orbea did a good job documenting everything in the Blue Paper. I.e. it documents exactly what you describe.
