Should I Upgrade My Brakes?

The stock Tektro brakes on my 2020 Powerfly 5 don’t really inspire confidence.

An old bike mechanic I know recommended Shimano XTs, so I’m looking at the Deore M-1600s. The rotors are 203mm so not looking to replace those—they’re pretty hefty. BUT I’M THINKING 4-piston calipers are definitely the way to go.

Comments? Experience with? Suggestions?

In short, if they don’t inspire confidence then get them changed.... I was going to change the Shimano Deore 6120 that came on my Rail 7 to My Hopes which I have on my other bike but after using the Deores I’ve decided to stick with them for the time being as they are way better than I thought they would be.
